I come to you as a gold maker and a wow player. I run a youtuber channel that creates ways to make gold for new, returning , and old players alike.
I am not here to promote my channel. I am here to speak for my subscribers and me.
The nerf that went out today is uncalled for. People where ready and excited to make some gold. Until the requirement was put in last min. At 25 thread needed at 4 gold each totaling 100g Min to make a relic. This is uncalled for. Putting a lot of players in a hole. It would be 1 thing if this was announced months ago.
But its 6 days before pre-patch,
This nerf is way to much. As in beta right now you can by 5 thread for 5 gold. Why could this not be how it works on ptr.
This will cause many players to not return or resub. Knowing raids, dungeons and the like are nerfed to the point of no return.
Cause many sources of raw gold are to be gone. If this is a knee jerk reaction to wand shuffle. Why not instead just make it where they could not DE the vendor items.
I implore any blizzard mods or staff to reach out. We are not even asking for full reversion. Make them like it is in beta 5 thread for 5 gold.
Also its just not raw gold this will hurt new players trying to craft. Due to high gold demand for materials.
Changes to Beta⊠sign me up⊠changes to PTR vs what has been on there for anyone to see because you cant fix a vendor item DE you have known about for 8 years⊠shameful
This is completely unbelievable. Why do you give us hope and then snatch it away? This is another knee jerk reaction from Blizzard because a few people were abusing an issue. In typical Blizzard fashion, you choose to punish the entire community instead of fixing something internally.
Yer⊠A week out cefore this was meant to go live⊠What a joke? This seriously jsut anotehr nail in the coffin to suppress raw gold farm to push more people into buying your tokens??
Is this an out of season Aprilâs fools joke?
It has to be⊠Otherwise its just stupid. 6 days before pre-patch and you nerf this to the ground because you couldnât fix a simple bug? And donât tell us that you donât want a big influx of gold going into the market when you allow multiboxers in the game (just because they pay for multiple accounts⊠What a surprise)
You gotta fix this and leave it as it was and just make vendor items not disenchantable
I feel for the raw gold players who were hunting for their next niche, but it was wildly broken and needed to be nerfed. If you filled guild banks with cloth, stocked 200K essences (ow), that was a gamble, and surely you knew that? I was under the impression that people jumping on this were all basically saying âOkay, this will almost certainly get nerfed lol, but Iâll take a stab just in case, and weâll see what happensâ. But apparently a tonne of people really didnât see a problem with the state of the system and were banking on it being permanentâŠ? This had âfar too good to be trueâ stamped all over it, come on.
Honestly I wouldnât have been surprised to see bans if it had gone live. People stood to make millions from relatively small investments.
Having said that, the price of the vendor reagents could possibly be toned down/dialed back a little though, it does seem a little heavy handed. If the vendor prices had been more moderate and considered to begin with, it wouldnât have gained the traction that it did. Itâs a shame it took so long to get around to fixing it, and as a result unfortunately it has left a lot of people feeling like it was a bait and switch at the 11th hour, but it really needed a nerf.
Youâre not taking into consideration the crafting time it will take to even make the shuffle (days of crafting) so most people wouldnât even bother to do it and if they did, good for them. It had its up and downsides but it wasnât gamebreaking. Yeah i know that the monkâs staff bug was really broken, but thatâs what needs to be fixed and it wasnât something ânewâ. They couldâve done it long time ago so itâs their fault, not ours. All i can say is that this a lazy way to âfixâ something. Shame on them.
Relics was way too powerful, but this is essentially taking it out back and shooting it.
The system could have been a way to allow people to retain relevant raw gold gains from old content, rewarding people for actually using their professions with an alternative method.
Now?
Raw gold is only viable for multi-boxers, who are still going to do excessive damage to the economy and drive people out of farming spots.
What is your priority here Blizzard?
Average players trying to make gold, or an actual exploitation of game mechanics?
Tune it so the vendor costs on relics are actually fair.
Donât kill the system. The vendor cost of the Shadowlands material also makes it unappealing for making leveling gear. My BG groupwas excited weâd be able to play around with crafted gear for our battlegrounds, but now the gold sink isnât appealing at all.
yeah, that needed to be nerfed, and it shouldnât have been a surprise it was nerfed, a similar thing happened with the tailoring bracers a few months back and that was nerfed as well.
The long-term priority is to get people out of old content entirely. Everybody will do mythic raiding, MDI, and rated PvP and their chores. And nothing else. The world be removed so those of you who hate going out can enjoy your Lobbies of Warcraft.
I mean the blames on you for dumping gold in something that was clearly a bug and wouldnât make it into live. Faults your own there man. Should have waited to see if it made it to live before jumping onto it. ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
