Release SL xpac 12/31/2020 if necessary!

Please do not rush the development of the next expansion, Blizz.

Legion’s beta testing seemed extensive. I got hyped watching Preach’s videos exploring the specs and their play mechanics. We got to see how Blizz was going through their iterations. In contrast, the BfA beta seemed short and rushed. Azerite gear being the most obvious example of a new xpac feature that did not get the same development exposure as Legion spec designs.

I will play my 12 120s all through 2020 until SL has been well developed.

Anyone else agree or can also provide some reasons to wait as long as possible in 2020 for the SL release?

Honestly, never fun to experience, but I agree. I would rather not have a rushed expansion and have Blizzard take their time instead of rushing it out.

The 31st? No one has that kind of time to wait! Has to be by December 30th or bust.

As long as its not another bfa by all means go for it

Way too long for so little change.

Shadowlands features are:
Smallest amount of launch zones
Smallest amount of dungeons
A single island expedition in a tower
Racially diverse humans
Some covenant abilities

How could they possibly need that long to beta test?

Yep.

But i dont believe this is what Blizzard want right now. That whole “anual expansion” seens to be the current vision of the dev team to be honest.

Just as long as it isn’t rushed out unfinished like Cataclysm.

same…
take your time blizz.

If its ready, by all means shoot for September or October.
How much de-prunning they are going to do for all the classes. The effects thereof.
The covenant trees from different covenant followers seems to have the potential to be complex. Blizz’s goal is to make each covenant choice for PVE or PVP a “fuzzy” one without a clear best. That will take some iterations.

The complete leveling revamp is going to take quite a bit of work, too. Just from making MoP available at level 80, they’ve created a situation where, for example, a player who decides to level in Pandaria from 80 to 90 can’t make or use level-appropriate bandages (windwool bandages require level 85), and can’t fully engage with the cloud serpent racers when they normally encounter them in the Jade Forest. Not game breaking, but still an issue that’s arisen just from combining two expansions into a single level bracket. Imagine what could be overlooked or broken when making six expansions cover the entire leveling bracket.

I dunno about taking the time, but I rather Blizzard actually listened more on player feedback about bugs and issues first before releasing. This is the one huge downside to BfA.

Didn’t it seem like many systems were rushed in BfA, like Azerite fear and wavefronts?
In Legion, it seems like only the Legendary acquisition was a bad system.

No, they should put more people and crunch the rest. Like any good developer that is passionate about his project.

Silly Americans! There are only 12 months :^)

Flagging your reply. As brilliant.

They should release it on 3rd nov so I’ve something to cheer myself up when trump wins a 2nd term

I think they would have to delay it longer. Getting an expansion launched right when it’s the holidays would be the worst decision possible.

meh your talking bout the B team that used to work on D3 but were moved to WoW

The B team that destroyed the diablo franchise and weren’t good enough to be put on the D4 team. Nor were they good enough to be put on the Classic team.

Retail just gets the scraps.
