which is why i’m saying remove the cap once you’ve done the final chapter, no point of even having a weeekly cap if there’s no real story or items to unlock
Renown being capless won’t change my stance on SL OP. Just saying.
One reason there’s a cap of 2 per week is to keep everyone on the same pace, since your characters still do get stronger the higher your renown is (thanks to enhanced conduits).
So having it be uncapped so early would just make it a grind for all so soon, which might not be ideal. Better to have everyone log in, do their daily chores for a bit, then log out - rather than burn the heck out grinding allllll the way to 80 in order to min/max right away.

How about no more renown after this season? 80 levels of renown is a nightmare for alts, even with the changes to catchup

Congrats, there is no cap…but renown is super rare and if you are lucky, you’ll get 2 a week
There needs to be an accountwide achievement for this for real. Like renown is no longer limited by campaign. Or a hotfix at least. Those campaign take like a few hours each toon. And there is alot of afk flight time in between. Just the one where you go to ardenweald and then to maldraxxus is like 4 minutes of afk time due to flight masters.
The renown itself isn’t a problem. The needing to do the campaign quests that locks you out of like 20 renown is a big problem.
