Not the first to post this, and probably not the last. But I would like to see Joyous Journey reinstated as a permanent buff for WOTLK. This is a re-release of a 10 year old game, there is no mystery to it, add the buff, you’ll see plenty more people stick with the game, instead of gating a population of players who would like to reconnect with friends and re-live WOTLK content. Again this is not a new game, it is not joyous to have to slog through 2 expansions, and stop because the time commitment for just leveling to 68 is to great a commitment for some. Nothing is being unveiled to us that we have not already seen, adding Joyous Journey is not corrupting the fabric of time and creating an alternate universe where life ceases to exist. The more people that play, the better it is for the game, right?
No. Buy a boost and/or heirlooms and stop whining about xp on launch week.
This would be nice if it applied to classic and TBC only, The way I see it is there is no harm in it they already let the cat out of the bag for classic and TBC might as well keep it going

Why not? 1-70 are pretty sluggish without the buff. Not everybody is sitting at 70 ready to go and that assumes they can even play the expansion without long waits in queue.
At the very least they could extend it. What’s the point in having it abruptly end on Woltk launch? Why not let it run for another month or two? The hype is now, people are levelling now, new people are picking up the game at this time. Why gatekeep them?

It’s truly horrible. I leveled up 3 character from 1-40 and it felt great.
I was working on my 4th character when the buff went poof. It hits the soul when i take the same questing path as the other 3 characters and they’re sitting at level 40 almost to 41 and the character i was leveling is only 38 and I’m the same “stage” as the other characters. Maaaiii heart…

Could you explain why it is not reasonable to ask for the joyous journeys buff to come back?
You act like I am being entitled and lazy because I don’t want to “earn” my level but also promote me boosting which doesn’t seem like “earning” anything.

The buff is EXTRA. It isn’t meant to be abused indefinitely. Just, y’know, play the game. I’m not going to sit here wasting my time on you when I can be… playing the game. lol. Why do you pay for a game and then expect everything handed to you.

Okay but a huge part of the playerbase doesn’t think you getting 50% more xp to make 1-70 negligible should even be an option.
The difference is Blizzard agreed with that part.
I actually do care. I want you to understand. I’m just tired of seeing the same post over and over again with people looking to just hear what they want instead of playing the game and working towards goals.
