My hope is that BTS did foreshadow her return with a council taking power and her returning to deal with it. The only main thing being different is I think she’ll return and she will be forgiven by the council and she’ll just re take her position, not take out the council in the same way as the Desolate Council.
But that is what I feel like is coming, with also more elaborate clarity on her plans for both loyalists and people who need clarity on her plans.

Sylvanas is the worst Warchief we’ve had. She managed to fail more than Garrosh, which is impressive in its own right. She also took the Horde from being interesting to being mustache twirling, Saturday morning cartoon villains. There’s no depth to her or the Horde anymore; it’s just “lol I’m bad, I kill everyone even if it’s my own.” She’s one of the characters that gets worse the more story she gets.
No, I don’t want the Horde to be led by Lich Queen Barbie and her Ken Doll shadow. I like having a lot more to the faction than just pure villainy. Sadly, I imagine because of the sheer amount of people who love her unconditionally no matter what she does, she’s likely to get a redemption arc. I doubt she’ll ever be welcomed back on the Horde, but I feel like she won’t die the villain. Which means just spitting on all the graves of the people she’s killed.
Sylvanas is one of the best examples of a Mary Sue, with plot armor so thick it’s as if the entire game bends to make sure her plans work, and it doesn’t happen if it’s own volition.
Oh wait, that is the case.
