Hey, I’m making this thread because right now in the current phase of WOTLK Classic, the “Reins of the Blue Drake” is currently not obtainable in any shape or form even when it should be during this phase of the games life as it originally was. It was a drop in 10 man EoE until around the release of the Trial of the Crusader patch when it was removed and made a rare drop from a bag in Heroic The Oculus due to low amount of people doing the dungeon due to the poorly received design of the mount combat system at the end of the dungeon. At this time of posting, the 25 man counterpart of it “Reins of the Azure Drake” is currently in its slot in 10 man EoE when it should be exclusive to 25 man until ToC release. I mention this isn’t faithful to the original version of the games life and feels like what if in Vanilla Classic you couldn’t get Thunderfury because the AQ Bug Wars didn’t start for the zone and the quest was locked out entirely because of client version issue (We all know Thunderfury was obtainable with BWL’s release and was possible to get in Classic and use this as a example). I would like a official response if this is all intended or a forgotten change during WOTLK Classic launch/Development.
Well I’ve seen the drake so where did it drop from?

You probably saw the Azure drake which is a dark blue and has armor on it. The blue drake has a light blue tint like Azuregos or the surrounding blue dragons not Malygos. And to answer your question, both to a extent. Right now the Blue Drake should be dropping in 10 man Eye of Eternity and the Azure Drake in 25 man. Later on in ToC (or whenever emblems of Triumph were introduced.) It was contained in a green quality bag off the final boss of Heroic Oculus as part of the Dungeon Finder feature due to lack of players going into that dungeon for obvious reasons. Right now its impossible to acquire the blue drake as mentioned even though it should be.
