Reindeer bots are out of control, and it's plain STEALING

1). These reindeer bots focus on herbalism only pretty much. The amount of gold they can generate in a day is more then enough to buy a wow token. That’s criminal thievery.
2). They flood the market with their goods, cutting the profits substantially for hard working mining and herbalists (YOU) who spend you previous time doing it the right way and getting paid far less.

What can I do?

If you’re on the Alliance side, fly from the Boralus trade market to just west of town. It’s a 5 second flight. There’s a river there. Count the reindeer there that are on an obvious loop. I counted 4 in 2 minutes. Whisper them. Bots won’t respond. Report them for cheating.

If you are a Horde player please add to this.

Thank you.

I don’t respond to random whispers from strangers, either, so…

Just be careful how you “whisper”. I was making circuits back in MoP and someone sent me a profanity laced whisper that assumed I was a bot.

Unfortunately for them, I was not a bot, and did what Blizzard recommends in such a situation: do not engage, report, ignore.

I just wish you Alliance would use these bots to farm your weekly kills. The bot will respawn, you can kill it again and again. Give it a ress timer.

This is dangerous because people are stupid.

It’s best to just respond to people who hit you with random whispers going “R U A BOT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE” With a friendly “Piss off.”

Half the time, I’m not paying any attention to my chat box unless I’m having a conversation with someone. I shrink it down and banish it to a corner of my screen.

“Reindeer bots”. You mean every Horde Druid in travel form?

By reindeer, you mean druid in travel form, yes? Aren’t a lot of druids herbalists anyway? How can you tell they’re bots? The fact that they don’t respond to a whisper from a rando wouldn’t tell you much.

Log on a hunter. use MD on bot and Barrage everything. problem solved.

well techically, the WoW tokens need to be paid for by someone else first…

If I am farming on my druid, it is doubtful that I will respond to random tells either.

Reporting “bots” does nothing.

Blizzard auto detects them, eventually, banning them in waves.

The days are long gone, where Blizzard comes down and investigates some particular person you think might be a bot. This post is an example of the HUGE waste of time that would be.

For some reason my brain is imagining bots that run around as reindeers. I realize you probably mean druids.

Don’t they need to be in your party/raid before you can use Misdirect on them?

Yesterday I noticed unique gems dropped under 20g each, some weeks ago these were around 200g each, jewelcrafting is a lot more useless than it used to be now lol.

nope, I hope never nerf it. so much fun

So many people defending the bots saying they’re probably not, and they never respond to whispers either. I do have to tell you it’s very easy to tell a bot from another player, and I’ve seen plenty of druid bots being boosted multi-boxing style lately.

Just go to Isle of Thunder on any given day and watch all the boomkin bots training around one after another on Conqueror’s Terrace. Some days it’s Horde, some days it’s Alliance

Wait what’s going on? The reindeer mount buff makes it easier to herb?

The good thing is that you can report for botting and blizzard will know if they are or not. If they aren’t no harm no foul. If they are than reporting is the best way to bring it to their attention.
