Blizzard you gotta do something about the sellers in the LFG tab. Looking for a group to run the new dungeon and there are more “groups” advertising RWT carries than there are actual groups, and this is just for the new dungeon.

All it takes is one or two people that moderate the LFG tab and outright banning anyone advertising RWT carries while also making certain key phrases auto-bans (websites that aren’t blizzard websites, discount, promocode/promo code) and using the two people to get the ones that go around it.

Hello. Do note there is a reporting feature for “Advertisement” within the LFG system, so I encourage you to use that functionality. Hopefully that will help improve your LFG experience

Literally report one and two more take its place.
It’s a plague. There’s more people selling than actual people doing runs

I understand your concern. However, Blizzard will not take action against anyone unless a report is filed in-game. The developers gave us the reporting feature for advertisements so help clean up LFG, and it is our responsibility as players to utilize that feature when appropriate.
Sure, but they can make it better, like OP is asking.
Using the report feature and Blizzard putting forth the effort to fix the LFG finder aren’t mutually exclusive

There are addons that do a fantastic job at filtering them out. If blizzard won’t do it, you can, and should.

I understand your concern, but it will be impossible for the LFG system to be manually moderated. OP’s suggestions for automation does make sense, but there are very easy ways around automated filters and it will be very resource-intensive for staff members to keep up with the thousands of LFG groups that are up every minute. Blizzard staff work very hard as it is, and we must aid them by reporting advertisements when we see them.
You know, at first I thought you were trying to be sarcastic. Now, I think your just trying to get MVP status on the forums.

For LFG I just scroll past them myself
They do get kinda spammy in trade chat, where it’s just a constant “waterfall” of WTS alts advertising for their community
Trade chat can indeed get a little hectic, but selling services for in-game gold is allowed in that channel. Now, if players are selling services for real money in trade chat (or LFG as well), then that indeed is not allowed and is reportable.
It literally does absolutely nothing. Just blocks you from seeing them for a very short time. I see the same people that I’ve reported multiple times “selling ________ for cash or gold. log on to www_____________ for details.” . If Blizz actually cared, they would implement a feature that auto ghosts and flags key words for review and account action.

There are addons for that. If they won’t do it, do it.
Correct, and I use one. However, it shouldn’t be needed because of Blizzards laxness and irresponsibility.

Blizzard staff work tirelessly to ensure an amazing gameplay experience for us all, and that includes handling reports for in-game violations. Actions aren’t immediately taken and often occur in waves. Rest assured that if you make a report, it will be looked at by one of Blizzard’s team members.
Oh stop it Ion. No one is falling for your masquerade.

I doubt they work as tirelessly as you think they do. If they really did do something about the reports we wouldn’t see the same people advertising for the same websites for months at a time, so you can shovel that load to someone else.
Heres a tissue, you got some brown on your nose.

Look at his posts from a month ago. He viscerally hated Blizzard. This change makes me actually think Blizzard devs showed up at his door and threatened him with legal or illegal means if he didn’t change his attitude on the forums. It’s such a drastic change.
