Regrow Teldrassil

Idc if you have to make up some outrageous story at this point, I just want the tree back.

Bring back the Night Elf NPCs as well. Rebirth them in the queens conservatory or something and send them back to azeroth.

Retcon if you have to.

We could make it an annual event. Regrow it for the Lunar Festival and then burn it at the conclusion of the Midsummer Fire Festival.

I think this would be cool.
I just recently completed the Draenei intro and we also briefly reach the old Teldrassil on our way to Darkshore.

Sad to hear about the BBQ party gone wrong by Sylvanas.

Why not have them live at Nordrassil where they were originally?

Good plan, the Horde unlocks infinite wood! It’s like a cheat code, Greedisgood

But yeah world trees should not be grown lightly. Most of them have failed and been corrupted. And there’s no Aspects anymore to bless and shield it. So a regrown Teldrassil poses risks.

Dear OP,

No. The world trees are far more a detriment to Azeroth and its populace than a benefit.

They are. In Shadow’s Rising it said the night elves have moved back to Mt. Hyjal where they originally lived and set up shop there.

Whether or not Blizz wants to reflect that in game we’ll see. It’d kind of require them to create two separate phases of Hyjal if they did.

I believe that Blizzard said they would not do this. I also believe that this entire event was a mistake.

It won’t happen unless a major plot beat of a patch/expansion happens there. That’s basically the bar for world changes like this. Which is why most of Azeroth is still effectively in Cata era. Because nothing new has happened to warrant replacing that or putting a new higher level phase on top of it.

Why not? They brought that green dragon back whose name escapes me for some reason at the moment… Ysera?

But yeah, I’d seriously love to see a new world tree make an appearance. The thing is so huge that the possibilities for content that you could tie into it are incredible.

I’ve been silently rooting for this since entering Shadowlands - like, there has to be a way if they can pull this crud! Right???

how do you guys do it? #worldtree ?? lol

This is more savage then all of WoD xD omg

I’d love to see something where Teldrassil is replaced by some cool thing from Ardenweald, but I don’t really see all the people being brought back unless they get to swirl around the branches as wisps and soulshapes. Not that it wouldn’t be nice, though. Nelves get a raw deal in the lore.

Realistically there’s nothing stopping Elune and the winter queen from coming to azeroth and remaking the tree and restoring all the dead night elves.
They’re almighty Goddesses with the power over life and death, should be simple to fix.

at this point, a believable story would be outrageous. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if somehow the water of zerith mortis has the same primordial soup magical font Powers as The well of eternity.

Personally I don’t want that to happen because it would entirely absolve the Horde of everything. Not that such a thing hasn’t already happened, but at least with the tree gone we know it’s not entirely true.

Just have Felwood be cleansed, get the Horde out of Ashenvale, and make Hyjal entirely Night Elven again. And let the Night Elves keep it for longer than what, two expansions?

I think a lot of horde players, myself included were upset by the tree and what the writers made us do. I have never mained ally and was ticked about that whole story.
I would love to see the tree revived or a new one grown in its place.

Edit to add, I don’t even think of it as the action of the horde. I think of it as Sylvanas doing.

By Horde I mean the lore faction, not the players. We’re not our factions IRL, and from a narrative standpoint it wouldn’t be a good thing to do either. I don’t hold Horde players accountable for the writers having a ‘wow dude so metal!!!11’ moment.

Nope, I want it to remain as a testament to the under handed nature of the Horde. So the Alliance never forgets that they can not be trusted.

That would actually require them to care about the story arcs that they have already closed. Instead the NEs will forever live in SW in game. I mean we haven’t seen a single race ever recover or rebuild a new “capital” so far.

No.

Don’t give them any ideas.

Shadowlands has been :poop: enough don’t need to “magicially” fix and make the entire 1.5 of story telling to be practically pointless in the end. The Twig is gone, move on.

If Blizzard is smart, they’ll give the Nelfs a new, better tree. Teldrassil wasn’t well designed in the first place :man_shrugging:
