Regional AH for Commodities

Sure. You’re saying that the economy should be redesigned to funnel all profits to you.

Right now if the botter isn’t directly in front of your face, you can’t even report them anymore with the new report system. To report someone for botting you have to have them as target now.
Before the patch you could put an auction house bot or excessive farm bot you’ve lost out of sight onto your friends list and report them from there. That’s not possible anymore.
It’s great when an AH bot is hiding in a garrison or some place in a Chromie time phase.

You trollin’, mate? That’s not even close to what they’re saying.
It’s a fact that crafters and farmers alltogether will have a really hard timing selling anything or making any profit. This will affect everybody who wants to sell something in the AH, and if it’s just the dad gamer who made some herbs via mission table and made some pots out of them to sell so he can make a quick buck for the pet he wanted to buy.

The only ones who will come out on top of this are still those people who have a lot of time to babysit the AH and cancelscan all day.

As a potential purchaser I have nothing to buy that I need, and I do need things. So how is it again that I should want this? There is no demand for anything I could sell, but there are certainly “sellers” who are scamming players by pretending to put bids on overpriced items using their second account to put fake bids on their listings to dupe potential purchasers into thinking those prices are reasonable and that the item is in demand. And of course they will auto cancel just before it expires, using their botting software to make sure that happens.

What are you even talking about? You’re talking about Classic right now, because that’s how it works there, don’t you?
I want to see how you put a bid on potions or herbs in Retail, lmao.

You can only bid on items that won’t be region wide. Items that don’t stack. And I’ve never seen such “tricks” like that with pets or equipment on retail. It’s always been the Classic AH with it’s low bids on single herbs that are cancelled by the sellers shortly before expiration.

What’s stopping me using this as a gold swap service across realms?

Say I know that their isn’t any insert old consumable here on the auction house, I put that up the server I want gold, BOOM I buy it from a server I have gold and without risking being scammed by a gold trader or what not I just pay the 5% to have it there.

Have 2 accounts, swap gold, buy boes and BMAH items easier, Honestly not alot of downside.

WoW was there even any hint of this before? Id never even heard of this being discussed.

That’s a significant change to the AH market.

Nah, it was a complete surprise. No one saw this coming.
I mean… there were a lot of wishes from players from low pop servers for solutions. Blizzard had to do something about the bad state of economy but no one expected they’d go for the extra lazy solution that brings a lot of problems with it.

I’m assuming that the Wordk Order design will be entirely separate - tht is, you wont be able to do a work order outside your own server/connected servers, especially as they will often be for gear and will also often involve the supply of materials with that order.

It seems to make the AH system a lot more complex and Im curious as to how buggy things will be. I must give it a try on the PTR.

Will this change include enchants?

yes, any consumables and enchants count.

This has been requested for a while now and it is a good change.

However, not including crafted items is a bad decission. The goblins on low pop realms are going to continue controlling the market, regardless of the mat prices.

If there are 50 people crafting an item on a high pop realm, due to low mat prices and competition the prices of crafted items will be cheap, on a low pop realm however, since there are only 2-3 people crafting that item, the prices will still be high. This does not fix the high priced items on low pop realms.

It is though. Cheaper mats, cheaper entry cost, cheaper crafting cost, cheaper gear.

And don’t forget thinner profit margins.

Not at all. You just expanded your audience to all the dead servers out there. Dead servers with lots of cash but not a lot of farmers.

You also expanded your competition to even more botters and people on said dead servers that have free reign on resources there.

Holy bejezus the competetion for selling flasks is gonna be nuts. Good for buyers, not sellers.

I’m not a fan of this change. The people who already say they can’t sell anything because of bots/cancel scanning will most likely never be able to sell any mats unless they really undercut. At that point is it really worth your time to farm the mats?

Unless Blizzard really comes down on the botting, this is going to be a negative experience.

incoming AH Bots battle, who will reign supreme! also bots farmers. Delete this change, not good for casual players.

I posted a thread in the PTR forums yesterday about it. May be a good place to stick comments since it’s directly relating to PTR.

I’m on a highpop realm and there are already much more crafters, farmers and sellers than people who buy something. There is absolutely no balance and it will just be getting worse.
Sure, there will be more buyers but also tons of sellers and bots you have to compete with while prices will crash hard.
Plus… dead servers don’t bring that much cash, otherwise they wouldn’t be dead, eh?

I play on low pop servers and have quite a bit of gold. Plus, Blizzard sells gold to low pop servers, not just high pop ones.
