I like actually selling stuff instead of listing it ad infinitum and then vendoring. Region-wide AH is fantastic and keeps prices reasonable, for the most part.
If anything, we should have a true region wide AH, if not even worldwide.
We players of low/no pop realms would greatly appreciate it.
And it would piss off AH tycoons/market flippers, which would make me even happier.
The detail today is I bet that while we have 240 retail servers, we donāt have 240 active areas of play. Not any more. With the sharding and cross server realms and the whole, Iām guessing there isnāt 240 instances of Elwynn Forest, much less something like Desolace or any of the other mostly abandoned zones. Not active, not all at once.
The system is much more fractured today than it used to be.
the only downside to it is now more flippers have access to the entire thing instead of their own little AH world they had beforeā¦so now EVERYTHING is gettig flipped regardless of how irrelevant it is.
I flip. I know when its a losing deal and avoid it, but these jokers will literaly flip stuff they arent going to sell inā¦well, ever. lmao. Its like flipping is an addiction they cant control more than a way to make gold
other than that, the AH is much better than before. No matter what mats I need, there are 100 times what I used to see before the changes.
Letās do some math.
In December 2023 Blizzard announced they actioned 270,970 accounts.
If they hired a āsmall teamā of letās say 5 people.
Now if those 5 people banned a bot every single minute, of every day, for the entire month of December. Worked 24 hours a day, zero breaks, no sleep, no food, nothing but continuous banning, they would ban 216,000 accounts.
Which is less than what Blizzard already did.
When people say things like hire some people to manually get bots I donāt think they comprehend the scale.
To provide more transparency on the actions we take against cheating and exploitation, here is an accounting of the number of actions that were taken over the last month, December 2023: Total Exploitative WoW Account Actions in December 2023: 270970 All of these actions were for cheating or exploitation, which primarily result in permanent bans or 6-month suspensions. This number does not include other actions such as those taken on accounts with character name or in-game language violations. ā¦
Blizz can capped farming after 3 hours per 24 hours. Most players only farm for a hour two. Only bots farm for more then three hours.
There are people who are not bots but simply enjoy farming. I myself mainly play the game to farm old raids, thatās what I enjoy enough to fork over my $15 a month for. I also have a friend who loves herbalism, and would happily do it all evening during their playtime after a rough day.
