With nearly every expansion the Azeroth world map is updated and the last few updates have been frankly ridiculous in terms of how things are scaled. Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms keep drifting apart and shrinking. The map feels incredible bloated in the center region compared to how Azeroth originally felt. The Maelstrom, the most iconic landmark since WoW released has been shifted away to not be the center of the map.
In the latest 12.1 update the Eastern Kingdoms have shrunk yet again to make space for the Coiled Isle. While in previous expansions the assumed rationale was that it wasn’t current content so that is why Kalimdor/EK were shrunk but now it is actually the current content and still gets shrunk.
I’d like to see Azeroth’s world map to more accurately reflect the sizes of the continents in the lore like in the Chronicles map. Not just because it is lore accurate but it just frankly looks better visually. The current world map feels incredibly cluttered to how Azeroth should feel.

Proposal:
Restore Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms to their original sizes on the world map. Shrink Broken Isles, Kul Tiras, Zandalar and Khaz Algar then move the Maelstrom slightly east so it is back to the middle of the map.
Since the isle expansions are no longer current I don’t think anyone will mind if they are just a big smaller. More importantly it can help make looking at the map of Azeroth feel closer to how it originally felt like a true fantasy world instead of now it feels artificially scaled for external regions.
