I’m not looking to beat a dead horse here. I know people are asking for things that are borderline impossible. Windows can’t show you what’s happening outside the house in a different instance, blah blah.
I’m not asking for that.
If I could have one request for these windows, it would be to choose the type of glow that comes out of them. The bright blue does not do it for me. I would be fine with a solid color if I had the ability to dull it a bit, or maybe change it to night time. I want a dark and stormy vibe, not “the aliens are hovering their ship above my house and the windows are all glowing blue”.
I know this can be done, and from a technical perspective it’s exponentially easier. It would be a good compromise.

I’m actually with you on this. My outside windows are orange, but my indoor windows are blue. My need for consistency can’t handle it.
RGB color filters could be done pretty easily. The list of choices would rival our Dye Chart though and could be frustrating. And then you would want an opacity slider. For each pane in the window, it could get complicated fast.
And of course I want that! I can spend five minutes just placing a candle, imagine setting the brightness and direction!
It would be a good addition.
But there are other items with glows that you can use, like the mechagon artificial sun, or that paladin book, or the owl statue. You’re not restricted to just using the stock windows.

I get that. It would be cool to have as a default option so we aren’t spending 40 points on a window though
