New to Shaman…Primal Strike says on my UI toolbar it’s
supposed to hit for 34 physical damage…
It hits for 6-7 phys damage on all starting area characters tested…
I have tried all of the races…and it’s the same for
all of them…
What am I missing?
You’re missing the part Blizzard doesn’t tell you which is Shamans never use Primal Strike. It’s garbage. Just spam Lightning Bolt and Flame Shock. The fact they even keep it around and tell players to use it in the Exile’s Reach tutorial is baffling to me.

Yeah…LB and FS are powerful…
But it’s good to have something for
melee range…
And the tooltip indicates that it’s
close to LB or FS damage…
As I said…Shaman is new for me…
I thought maybe I was missing something.
Are you sure it isn’t 34% damage? that would means its 34% of one of your normal weapon attacks. which would be closer to the 6-7 damage from the starting weapons.

says 34 physical damage…doesn’t mention %…
but that would make math sense
if they intended % but didn’t
include it.
the wowhead aura tracker says 34% so im guessing its probably a tooltip error in game.
Its supposed to be something you just kinda cast in melee as a quick finisher for resto or ele, or when nature locked so the damage is low in trade for not waiting the 2 seconds for a normal melee swing i think.
