Caps…Numbers…Last Names…
I’m tired of seeing people struggling for names
and settling for handles like ‘Dishrag’…‘Papertowel’…
‘Acadapter’…etc.
it detracts from the epic feel/immersion factor of the game.

People aren’t struggling, people who use those names choose them on purpose. Your bet bet is to come play on an RP server and you won’t see as many of those stupid names, but you’ll still see a lot because naming rules are not enforced anymore.
You’re on Stormrage, not an RP server where people actually care about immersion.
i struggle every time i make a new character…
most names i enter…are already taken…
the point of my post was…it’s 2024…
they can expand naming potentials.

Use the random generator and to get an idea, then get something decent from that? After this many years most common names are done for. I imagine there is some sort of technical issue as to why they haven’t changing naming creation yet.

Well, they changed the visual for picking male and female characters at character select so anything is possible in the future.
I’m fortunate that all my characters names were available, as well as perfect.
Having a number in your name will make the game more epic with immersion?
That trusted lieutenant of illidan named 420edgelord69 will fit right in

I think no one is stupid. I think numbers in names doesnt make immersion. Its a bad part of an idea.
I used hyperbole to show that. Or do you need me to find the boaty mcboatface article to show you how real people will use the system.

the naming options in wow are very y2k…
lazy…antiquated…archaic…you know i’m right!

I actually wanted a number in a name for a Mecha, even a mecha pet, but they don’t allow it.
