Regarding diabolist & Primary Felguard Benefiting Talents| WAR WITHIN

Glaring at the Talent Calculator on Wowhead, I’ve noticed some changes to Demonology Warlock. My Shadowfury has been brought down by 2 yards, and my Fel rush has been brought down by 10%. I’m okay with.
That isn’t the Topic here, it’s the fact that in the Diabolist Tree there is a specific talent “Abyssal Dominion” which “Grimoire: Felguard lasts 3 sec longer and its cooldown is reduced by 30 sec.”
Now that is particularly problematic for me, because as the Demonology Tree is structured now, since I’ve gone over to Felhunters, Bilescourge Bombers and Vile Fiends, I am no longer using a Felguard. Understandably, Grimoire: Felguard does not effect the primary felguard, but in order to reach Grimoire: Felguard I must spend talents on a demon I no longer use.
For example, to get “The Houndmaster’s Stratagem” which places a debuff on enemies which makes them take an additional 20% damage for 12 seconds from my shadow spells, I have to get "Annihilan Training which boosts my Felguard.
In order to reach Grimoire: Felguard however, I would need Annihilan Training, and Fel and Steel, or Annihilan Training, The Houndmaster’s Stratagem, and Heavy Hand.
Note that all of those talents barring Houndmaster’s Stratagem effect my primary felguard which I no longer use.
I would like to suggest moving Grimoire: Felguard into Annihilan Training’s position for those who don’t use a primary felguard. Or to simply remove or change Abyssal Dominion. Otherwise, there is a completely useless talent benefiting a spell I do not have.

EDIT: Glaring to the Alternative Hero Spec Soul Harvester applies to me more. (Though Diabolist looked so fun; I mean that not in a sarcastic way) Nevertheless, I’d like to suggest to move Annihilan Training and Houndmaster’s Stratagem into each other’s placing, so that those who don’t use felguard don’t have to spend a point on a useless talent, thank you.
Thank you Blizzard. Should this be in suggestions instead? I think I’ll post this there as well if possible!

Why are you playing demo if you aren’t using felguard?

That’s like playing Aff and refusing to use UA.

I think you’re probably wasting your time as you’re playing in a way that almost no one else is going to play and would be a waste of time to even change it.

That aside, so to use Spell Lock do you just switch to Felhunter, then back to Felguard? Do you use Spell Lock at all?
I don’t mean to sound antagonistic, it’s a genuine question. Switching back and forth sounds quite tedious.

No I use the pet stun because it spell locks as an interrupt of the target is stun immune.

There is zero reason to run anything but felguard ss demo.

All the time.

No need to switch back and forth.

Been that way for almost four years

If you’re not playing the Felguard as your primary demon for Demonology, then you’re playing it wrong.
The Felguard is essentially the cornerstone of your damage which is why much of Demo’s damage is built around it.
I’m not saying you can’t make a Demo build without a Felguard, but your playing against its fundamental design and hamstringing yourself in the process.

As has been stated, if you’re not using your felguard, you’re playing Demo wrong. It replaces every other pet.

As for Abyssal Dominion, finally having my Grimoire: Felguard and Tyrant on the same CD means I can actually line them up now. Thank god for that.

You should be holding tyrant for Grim FG anyways

Yes, and now (in the future) we don’t have to sit on it waiting on Grimoire to come off of CD.
