Did you know that the Beatrix encounter is customizable?
Beatrix can only perform her class call-style spells when certain of her Lieutenants are alive.
Most players are fighting a combination of Infantry (Scarlet Phalanx), Artillery (Mortar Combat), Cavalry (Thundering Hooves), and Mage (Meteor) abilities. However, only two of these abilities are locked-in this week: the Infantry and Artillery abilities.
After defeating Balnazzar, when you talk to Fydriel, the Night Elf scout for the Argent Dawn, pay attention to the camps he says are empowered. These are the two guaranteed members of Beatrix’s encounter that week. However, players have the ability to choose two out of the four remaining camps they want to remove from Beatrix’s encounter. If you kill Cardinal Stiltz (Priest) and Bowmaster Puck (Archer) first, then you remove the Priest (Confession) and Archer (Scarlet Arrows) class calls from the Beatrix encounter. However, if you choose to kill Knight-Captain Fratley (Cavalry) and Arcanist Hilda (Mage) first instead, you will have removed the Cavalry (Thundering Hooves) and Mage (Meteor) mechanics from the fight.
Next week a new set of two mechanics will be guaranteed to appear in the encounter and your raid group can make a new choice as to what mechanics you remove.
The guaranteed mechanics are the same for all realms in each region, so all raids in your region face the same challenge, but may make different choices.
And yes, if you reset your instance before defeating Beatrix, you have the ability to make a different choice about which mechanics you disable.
Except for our group it was artilery and calvery that were empowered not infantry. So unless youve hotfixed it to be weekly lock in of empowered since yesterday your information is incorrect. I have video proof as well if i need to go upload it. Not only that, but IMO its not even the combination of abilities thats the problem its that to many adds spawn to fast. We were running 30+ people and up to 4 tanks by the end and couldnt keep them under control. Even on pulls of us focusimg adds and cleave her we got over run. If this is actually designed for 20 players you missed the mark heavily. Im not sayimg were the best guild ever but most of our players are in the 95th percentile, we had full consumes and WBs every pull and 15 ish extra people.

The best guilds in the game are saying the raid is ridiculously overtuned. The only people that think it’s in a good spot are people like you that haven’t even attempted it yet.
Well, we already figured that out. What we can’t figure out is how to keep up with the millions of hp that the ads have while simultaneously trying to kill the boss.
It’s like you haven’t played sod before. Every raid so far was able to be cleared or had a normal mode that was able to be cleared the first lockout. Or the raid was nerfed in the first lockout (like sunken temple).
