So I been turning down tokens all this time that I could have traded for S1 and S2 gear? I also done bought full vindicator on one of my characters. Am I going to be refunded all those wasted marks?
This is why you don’t drop a change on one with a whole ONE day’s notice. I thought 1 week was bad. This is a new record. Now we’re only told ONE day in advance. “btw we’re changing things TOMORROW.” Ridiculous.
Give me back all the marks I spent on vindicator gear if you’re going to do crap like this.

I swear to god this company is ran by DUMB politicians. I paid my student loans as i went. worked three jobs and lived in a rat hole. Now they are paying off peoples student loans with my tax dollars, where’s my refund?? This is complete ship on bliz for no warning. I too played for two days straight on my days off farming honor. I will never understand systems that punish workers vs the hand out FREE FREE FREE crowd.

As someone trying to farm a pvp set, the 10 marks for a ring isn’t what’s holding me up, it’s the 15k honor. But oh well.

Just hit 70 on my mage last week and farmed the s1 4 set, took me way too much time! (Quarantined atm) . Now they do this? haha. Oh well.

Yes, but the 40 for the belt and boots are painful. Then take into consideration that they are increasing the amount of honor you get from turning in marks, we just lost 20 marks to turn in for honor is pretty big In regards to time invested.
I personally have to farm another 30k for the BM trinket, but needed a break. With those extra 20 badge turn in, it would make the grind for the trinket a little less exhausting.
I bought a Car when it was more expensive… now it’s less expensive and I want that money back… listen to yourselves. You paid more Marks and honor to get it early.

Which means it is the marks holding you up:
Marks convert to honor and at a higher rate also with patch making them better than av farming for honor as it was close before. So marks are honor.
In a round about way that does solve the problem, but lowering honor cost or increasing honor gained from bgs seems like a more direct solution.
It’s not rounds about at all it’s a direct solution.
A direct solution is any fix that directly addresses the issue in this case rate to gear up in pvp gear. A large part of that is marks being “worthless” as honor takes to long to get so often only av is farmed and marked destroyed. As av is better honor per hour in pugs. Converting them to honor at a higher rate is the direct abs best fix.
While a higher payout on top would be nice that is risky as done wrong and the balance between the bgs when adding marks plus honor which other than av can be close based on group is tossed out. As it stands a buff to honor conversion mainly buffs honor rate for all but av exactly what is wanted.
-1. You “played the game” to obtain the gear. If it was “unenjoyable work” for you to PVP, I question why do it. It is not necessary to PVE as the content is easily cleared without any PVP gear. If you did it for PVP, congrats you got it early. This whining is ridiculous. “WAHHH I played the game a lot, everyone must also do it or else I feel invalidated” is pathetic. Yes their communication sucks, but even if they gave you 1 week notice, people would still whine that they need more time. Stop this. It’s a great change that has been asked for from the PVP community that was dwindling.

For my role, a bear tank, PVE bis is PVP gear. In order to prepare for T6 content I pregrinded hours and hours of mind numbing battlegrounds.
You’re just simply incorrect about the whining even with warning, the fact is that we are simply not given a choice to buy or hold until the 50% discount, less than 24h notice given to a cost reduction on items that are 1 week old.
As I’ve said in the post, I like the changes, but the fact remains that this one specific cost reduction has come at a terrible time and has meant that a huge amount of people have missed out on large amounts of honor they now need to re-grind again for S4 gear. Why? Not through anything they’ve done wrong, but through blizzard’s terrible planning and communication.
They can make it right by refunding the lost 50% of marks spent on vindicator gear they added last week, at full price, before they suddenly reduced it by half.

While I agree with the original poster, I am not upset nor do I expect the marks to be refunded.
The lack of communication (or last minute communication) is not surprising to me and hasn’t been for some time.
This is literally how Blizzard operates now and honestly is to be expected. Blizzard is communicating exactly as their reputation procedes of them. This is who Blizzard is now.

I’m hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but I’m sorta in the same mental state as you.
However, I feel it’s worth making some noise after getting f***ed, instead of quietly taking it, shruggling and lubing up for next time.

As much as I hope this happens as it will save me time…. I’m happy that on my priests grind I haven’t wasted much. My warrior other hand he is in same boat as most people but is what it is. Let’s hope boys!
