REFORGING was one of the best features ever implemented in WoW to date!
What is Reforging? Well for those of you that don’t know it was a way to modify your gear’s secondary stats for gold! Got too much crit? No problem you could reforge 40% of that crit to haste. I am not sure why they removed this feature, it wasn’t even hard to use. There was also an optimizer you could use if you didn’t know what to do.
Please bring back REFORGING!!!

felt a lot better getting a bad piece …now a bad piece is just…a bad piece…
Their argument against it is, “well, you don’t need to juggle hit and expertise ratings anymore!” which… okay, but Reforging goes so much beyond that it’s not really even a point.
Reforging can turn a mediocre sidegrade into an actual upgrade. It expands the amount of desirable loot without inflating the loot tables. It makes the gear we get better, and makes us invest in and thus take more ownership of said gear.
It’s value far outstrips the purpose of merely managing caps. And sure, it means that you’re not going to be able to pick up a piece of gear screaming like the N64 kid and immediately use it, but… so what? Even that N64 needed to be set up.
Reforging is a feature that should have been brought forward, and its return would be welcomed.
Is this where I sign the bring back reforging petition?
I’m fine if they don’t do reforging if they continue creation catalyst. I’ve “reforged” a lot of pieces into way better secondaries using just catalyst.

I know I enjoyed simming multiple versions of every piece of gear that dropped, was a really good time…
Why bring back a feature that basically made you not be able to put on armor until you had to put on stats to your class and if you didn’t pick those stats you were shooting yourself in the foot?
There was no customization with Reforging

I would definitely be in favor of reforging returning.
A reforged bad piece is still a bad piece. The best stuff is still going to be the stuff that doesn’t require any reforging at all, so reforging doesn’t really solve anything.
But it lets you take a piece that is auto vendor into something that might actually be an viable upgrade while you wait for that BIS item. That was the advantage of reforging, it allowed you to make the item fit your current stat priority.
Not…really. It’s still mostly those bad stats. If you value haste/crit for example, something with vers/mast isn’t going to be saved by reforging. And BiS is still exactly one item when it comes to min/maxing. Reforging just adds extra complication to the gearing process, which to be fair was going to be handled by addons or external tools anyway, but it ultimately doesn’t really improve anything because any piece that becomes ‘viable’ with reforging isn’t really going to be improved very much to be worth the hassle.
They removed reforging when they removed Hit rating because they didn’t want people leaving raid with new loot to consult an addon to upgrade optimally.
Now they’re just content with you leaving raid every encounter to fix your talents, fix your covenant, fix your soulbind, change a new drop to a tier piece, change a legendary to a different slot…
You are over looking the best use of it, you are at a cap on one secondary stat and this would allow you to shift those points that are now at the DR into another secondary stat that isn’t.
Reforging just adds extra steps before you can put a piece of gear on. There’s little point to it now that Hit and Expertise are gone. And it adds nothing to actual gameplay.

Yes please, I get so many drops that give me versatility and crit whereas I need mastery, so an “upgrade” for me is useless.
