Maybe because its a terrible suggestion, there is no gold sinks in the game except for your epic mount and respecs.
I think I spent more money on twinks than anything else.
" I want ____________ changed for classic"
The time from when Vanilla changes progressed is already over. You can not change the past. You gotta take Classic for what it is even if its something thats considered a negative. If you don’t your not experiencing a genuine experience of what it was like 14 years ago. You can expresses how little of a change it is but any change is still a change. If it’s too cumbersome or challenging in a negative way then don’t play. You got plenty of ease and quality of life stuff on retail waiting for you.
Agree, paying to respec between Holy and Shadow to do PvE and PvP is dumb. One of the things I do want changed along with barber shop. The vocal minority of the forums will drown you out though.
That’s the great part about classic. It’s not vanilla… so they can change stuff that isn’t good. They’re already doing it with no progressive itemization and auto-looting. They’re changing a lot of stuff for the better and I think that changing the respect cost is really easy and they should do it.
these kids cant hang lol
Yeah I would have barbar-shop and transmog if I could. But unfortunately I think it would be too hard for the devs to code
It’s funny seeing them try and link auto looting to changing actual meaningful game mechanics like respec costs.
I saw another post that went “They are doing autoloot and color blind modes and that’s not classic so why can’t we change the talents?”
Lol.
Edit: In the end, this sort of begging is why no changes started. They knew people would just try and start a flood of changes and try to justify it with anything they could.
I think transmog would be going to far because seeing someones gear was part of classic. The barbershop is literally just a free appearance change though (you could pay for them in Vanilla) so it’s really stupid not to ask Blizzard for it.
Auto-loot does change gameplay. Go on a private server if you want to pay 10 gold just to respect or loot 1 item at at time.
I dont have to go anywhere.
Im getting the game I want, just as it is. Im not the one begging for cheaper respecs. Go play on a funserver/private server if you don’t want to pay for respecs. I have the high ground here. You are the one reaching for something you won’t find here.
Yeah, It isn’t a new game either. It’s already been out there for over a decade that hasn’t change in years and that is what people want. They want limited changes and the only changes Blizzard imposed are the ones that make sense. Making your respec cheaper conflicts with money sinks. Gold wouldn’t be a much as a problem as it was back then. There have to be money sinks in the world and you’re trying to negate that.
It’s called pragmatism. Dogmatism and absolutes are not things I’m interested in. People need to be able to have rational discussions about the pros/cons of something without leaning on automatic replies that shut down real improvements that are proven to be net positives. Something like the barbershop which is just an in game version of a paid service should go in Classic because it’s a pure benefit to players.
Mostly it’s the people who want hybrids pigeon holed into healing who don’t want respecs changed.
Padre, man, read the topic title, he is saying respect costs less in Classic, he means that respect is easier to get now.
exactly dude
Dear Blizzard Classic Dev,
Hey I didn’t start playing till wrath+, Can you change things and make Classic easier plz. Thanks
Sincerely,
Someone that wants things easier
Oh I see. I thought I read just a bunch of typos. A dab will do ya.
its ok, beats complaining about tauren streamers :O)
Pragmatism has its place. And there are also places where it is not welcome. Just because you ask for something and get told ‘No’ doesn’t mean you can trot out "I don’t like absolutes’ and expect reality to bend to your whims. That’s the expectation of a spoiled adult who expects everything to change simply because they will it so. The development company behind this project (that you have no control over) has already outlined the development path, and goals for this project. Those plans happen to specifically say ‘No’ to the things you are asking for.
You don’t get to sit back and cry dogmatism and talk about how you don’t like absolutes. I mean, you can, but its not going to change this projects design goals. Reminding you of this isn’t necessarily ‘automatic replies’ as much as it is an intention to keep discussion on things that are actually possible/tangible within the framework of this games development.
Walk into a AA meeting and invite everyone out for drinks and tell them you will pick up the tab and see how well your Dogmatism and discussion goes when they all tell you ‘No’ because your offer/suggestion goes against everything they are all there for.
