Humans can be Shamans, it’s just the game that won’t allow us to play Human Shamans.

I suspect that will change soon though. Out of the three base classes left, Shaman is the easiest to open to all Races. Making Shaman totem models is a significantly easier endeavor than making Paladin mounts or Druid forms.
