Recruiters Asked Hacker If She ‘Liked Being **********’ at Job Fair

SecureState should rethink that one, I’ll give them a thesaurus so they can figure it out.

Yeah, well you know - context context context. That’s where we find the reasonable and unreasonable.

I am a woman and if I put on that shirt I would expect comments to be made, (the trouble is those guys looked like they didn’t know when to stop).

I would be more angry at the place that created that shirt though than anyone.

note - I wouldn’t have put that shirt on

You can do better. Sexual questions and say hello are totally different things.

Or you’re too dumb to realize you were agreeing with me in my first reply, but felt the need to make me agree with everything else you said three posts prior.

Or maybe your human traits, since you a defending random guys sexually harassing women who are asking for employment based on the tshirt they wear.

If you write a note to someone, yes it can be harassment. Shes wearing an article of clothing, something she doesn’t need to get consent to do. You really have to be an idiot or an incel to not get this at this point.

Well it’s clearly an intended double entrende. So, you know, think what you want.

100% her employer making her wear that shirt is guilty of fostering a hostile environment.

You would expect those types of comments while asking for a job at at job booth that is known as a professional settings. No wonder Blizzard has been sexually harassing/assaulting women in the work place for decades now, for that same mindset.

Thank you for again assuming. WE ALL KNOW it’s wrong. Maybe you can say it again for the people that come into this forum late. No one is saying it is ok. Man you are such a armchair hero it hurts.

Again, it’s not a defense. But it happens. To try and stop people from doing the wrong thing will never happen.

Social decorum really isn’t hard for anyone with a brain larger than a walnut.

Context: Hacking conference.
Woman is wearing shirt with hacking related sexual innuendo.

Okay, let’s think.

->Does this indicate she has invited direct sexual comments? No.
->What if I’m attracted to her and want to initiate a conversation? Maybe I should approach respectfully and gauge interest.
->What is the context of her approaching me? I’m a company representative and she’s looking for work. This is a situation in which I should maintain professional standards.

And I generally agree. But she’s complaining when they made the exact same joke back.

I am hardly the dumb one here.

I deal with reality and have for the last 60 plus years. You can’t control what others do or say, you can only control what you do. I wouldn’t have put that shirt on.

And nice job blaming me for society and male behavior…

depends on the note. if it looks like this one, then yes

you can’t security test a person…
So no. their comments where indeed sexual harassment.

And was it the point of the shirt to be asked “are you lost?” Or “Are you here with your boyfriend?”

I don’t think the shirt had anything to do with those, that’s organic, free-range home-grown sexism.
