Recruiters Asked Hacker If She ‘Liked Being **********’ at Job Fair

Ah ok. Took as criticism lol, my bad there.

Doesn’t give the recruiters license to act unprofessionally.

Maybe but… (woman speaking here) the shirt says “When was the last time you were penetrated?” on the back.

Mitchell said she reported the 2015 incident to Black Hat’s organizers in 2017, who got on the phone with her, promised they would not allow Blizzard back as a sponsor, and gave her a free ticket to Black Hat USA 2018. According to Black Hat’s website, Blizzard has not been a sponsor after 2015.

it got them permabanned from the conference. lmao

yes, we know but they could have called it something else - pretty sure the word penetration already had the sexual connotation when that term was applied to that.

Actually so wrong it’s crazy. No kidding she wore a shirt because you can’t walk around naked…… hello??? That’s your answer?

A lot of things shouldn’t happen. Is ok to punch a random person in the face wearing a hateful shirt? No. Is it probably welcomed by the public? Yes.

You can’t compare a girl wearing a revealing clothing to being sexually harassed to this joke of a shirt. I bet if it was a male, another male would have made a joke too.

Honestly.

I think you can joke about a t-shirt like that without it being uncomfortable or inappropriate.

Some people are just so god damn socially awkward, that they can not make it tasteful and innocent - and so it is better to just shut up and not pay attention to it in the first place. Know your strengths.

After hearing more details about some of the staff and Blizzard and their “Connections”, I am really not surprised anymore. :face_vomiting:

A t-shirt that you might assume has a double entendre meaning does not excuse yourself from acting professional when that person is asking for a job as a penetration tester at their job booth.

So now everyone was sexually harrassed by Blizzard employees.

Give me a break, this is starting to look like a strong arm campaign to take a company down.

Where was all these accusations before??? Why all of a sudden???

This is hear say garbage and gossip, smh.

It does, certainly.

It’s not a joke you make to a complete stranger at a professional conference.

Did her shirt say, “Please ask me about my boyfriend and/or my immediate sexual history?”

You don’t make sexual jokes with strangers. Even if you’re just fooling around and not trying to harass them. This isn’t exactly MENSA level thinking.

If you get to know someone and they know you’re joking that’s a different story.

But strangers? Yeah, no. Don’t do that.

Words are allowed to have multiple connotations. People could just, you know, not be neanderthals.

yes but a neanderthal decided to use that word for reasons.

the transgender people who are a tiny group, got the federal government to change word usage from mother to ‘birthing people’ in the official budget, surely 50% of the population can get a bunch of geeks to change the name of that activity to something less offensive.

btw, mothers no longer exist - no happy mother’s day anymore - it is birthing people’s day.

You asked the question genius. Maybe you should learn to phrase things better, since you seem to think phrasing and shirts mean sexual harassment is ok, I figured you would be ok with a stupid sentence getting a stupid comment.

Doesn’t matter though, as if they said it to the wrong guy, they also would be harassing them. That is why consent, and knowing if you have it, is important.

What who is saying this is ok?? If she wore a revealing shirt and the guys made a comment about her breasts, then fry them.

Her shirt literally says “when was the last time you were penetrated”. Poor joke yes. But she was wearing the shirt that asked the question.
