Hi there! I’ve never actually recrafted an item before, quick question: is it necessary to provide all ingredients again, or just upgrade the crest so that the item level increases? Would be going from runed to gilded, so max level recraft. (R5 I guess… which I’ve seen people say but have no idea what it means lol)
Yes you will need to buy ingredients.
If you click on the crafting person the menu will have a redraft option in top left - click on that - select the item you want to recraft and it will show you what you need for the recraft

You need approximately half the materials for a recraft, but some items you won’t need to buy again (like superb beast fangs–the initial craft takes one but recrafts won’t require any more).
It will take reduced mats, but things like missives to choose stats, embellishments, gems, or enchants will just carry over so you won’t need to do those again.

You will need mats again just not 100% of them. Stat items like missives and enchants carry over. I keep my main at max LW for my own gear and have recrafted each time each season.
