Hello!
I’m a Mage who has played solo for a decade. I was ill for a year and due to the nature of my issues I came into this expansion with my ability to take in and understand information limited and difficult. I realize I may be out of luck but I thought I’d at least ask.
Is there a VERY dumbed down version as to how I can complete the Torn Page of “The Curse of Stone” myself before shadowlands? I’ve tried it twice and was killed instantly. The more I read the more confused I get.

Did you unlock the upgrade panel and picked up your 3 Orbs of Sanity? Use one before fighting the boss, you can stand in it soaking the healing and sanity recovery while the boss whacks at you inside of it and ignoring most of their abilities while it remains up.
It’s okay to come back later when you’ve upgraded the rest of your gear a bit more. Do the Vale and Uldum Assaults as they come up including the World Bosses in them; Emissary that give Weapons, Armor, and Azerite.

What are you having problems with? I see your cloak is rank 2, so you’ve gotten at least one cloak upgrade.
For the first four, you only need to kill Alleria, or Thrall, depending on which week it is.
For Alleria, she has two mechanics. One is Darkened Sky, which puts swirlies on the ground you dodge. The other is a big aoe that you must hide behind a pillar to avoid or you take massive damage to your sanity and stuff.
Thrall has a frontal slam that stuns. There’s a red ball in front of him while casting it. There’s also a donut mechanic. A ring around the room or a circle in the middle will turn black/blue. Get out of it.

The donut mechanic also switches.
IE “outside-inside” or “inside-outside”. So you’ll have to be ready to move twice during that mechanic.
Once you hit Rank 6(I think its Rank 6, been awhile) then things start to increase in complexity. But that’s a worry for later.
You also have to watch your Sanity Bar. If it hits zero, the Vision run ends immediately. That’s what the 3 Orbs you get are for (first upgrade), to restore Sanity. But remember, you only get 3 orbs total, and you can only activate them outside combat.
If you really need help … there are folks who are further progressed who could give you a hand with a more hands on in game I’m sure.
I have a bunch of toons at Rank 7-8 and I have plenty of Vessels and could give you a couple runs if the text descriptions here are “I don’t understand”.
Yeah I have a ton of stuff for vessels and could help too, but time zones might be a problem (I’m in Europe).

I may not be the best geared player or top notch, but I’m at least familiar with the visions and I’ve got a toon working on doing Mask Runs. So I think helping someone ‘new’ to Visions is something I can do!
There is a bit to get a handle on. I was going to break it down but honestly just write what you have issues with, questions. Because there are a thousand guides but all kind of go off on a tangent with other things that CAN BE a little overwhelming.
Guides are handy, but sometimes just diving in helps (at the lower end).
I did that to explain things to a friend of mine who was confused about how Visions worked. I also told them when they hit the higher ranks, poke me and I’d gladly run them through the other parts. IE going for the other zones.
I mean, I have toons that could still benefit from doing two bosses after all …
EDIT: My mage is sitting on like the equivalent of 20 vessels, so yeah … no sweat on helping folk out! I’m not worried about my fat boy progressing! He’s at rank 7 for the cloak.
Absolutely. I went in blind a few times but after going towards the trade district, and meeting that stupid Gnome… I had to find a guide.
I’m more of a visual person but if OP wants clarification on something, I think it’d be more helpful if they narrowed down to what they wanted to know.
Not to mention that Mages in my opinion CAN BE tougher to do visions with. (For some obviously).
Well… most of this is confusing to me. I have to take it a step at the time and I’m where I need to Collect Torn pages of The Curse of the Stone from Horrific Vision for Wrathion in the Chamber of Heart. So I need to enter the visions… if that’s correct terminology… which is in the Chamber of Heart. I have the item needed to do that. Forget what its called. But when I enter and it takes me into Stormwind Cathedral and I try to make it to the boss I’m killed instantly. Done it 2 or three times now.
