Hey there.
I don’t think holy priest is good in solo queue, since lack of voice comms causes too much overlap in a dampening meta, and hpriest is dependent on cd’s for healing.
I still want to heal, but not as holy priest.
I was looking at Rsham, MW or Pevoker.
Which of these three should perform best in a solo queue?
I’d say probably Rsham then disc / mw or mw / disc. A lot of MW’s weaknesses aren’t capitolized on in solo shuffle due to lack of coordination, so they’re a high output healer. Also have the option of fisting too, but that’s not my thing personally. Disc post buff seems pretty strong. R sham i swear they just go afk after throwing totems each match while still outhealing me. ><
I think PEvoker is really slept on and really solid

There were a toooon of them for AWC. Weird healer though.
Agreed, it’s spells are skill shots from what I saw when I spectated a friend’s pov.
an interesting healer tho
how about we make soloQ like skirms? same model. you just randomly Q into a team, both 2’s and 3’s. you get what you get. 1 game. best plays win.

I just mash on mine and it works
Dps dies 14 seconds into game
Gets thrown back into 20 minute queue
They definitely like to sleep on me.

I think it’s low key the best for RSS, maybe until you get high enough to play into people who are really good. Nullifying Shroud and healing while stunned is a huge advantage over mostly everyone else in games that don’t last very long.
If you really wanna priest id do disc but unless you`re really keeen id say go anything else.

How do you find the sustained throughput.
The main issue I’m seeing in solo queue (as hpriest) is overlapping cd’s due to the lack of a bread and butter filler heal that isn’t mana intensive.
The other problem is that people have to be below 50% for high throughput and below 35% for max throughput for Hpriest. I think this makes dps players scared, because they aren’t used to sitting at 35% the whole fight (or at least sub 50%); thus, they are pressing defensives early, thinking I’m not healing them.
Blizzard didn’t just arbitrarily pick 6 rounds. 6 rounds specifically allows every possible matchup in the lobby to occur, which is a necessity to maintain any shred of integrity for skill expression. There are far too many variables in the game mode for one single round to be effective. Even with 6 rounds, people frequently fluctuate 300-400+ CR. Imagine the variance with 1.

Rsham or disc priest. The others really can’t compete.
I think they should give players an option to reset after the first 100 games. Had I known what I know now, I would have went in with 110% healing talents, instead of mindgames/death/deaththroes/vampiric.
You don’t have time as Hpriest to cast any damaging spells at low mmr, because no one is trading cd’s/lining correctly.
You can even see lots of new rets and warlocks stalling to press their binds. So even though they know what to do (on paper) since they are rerolled alts, they can’t secure the setup properly, due to the lack of muscle memory of their new dps class.
I think specing lightweaver and mindgames would be the proper play at higher mmr, but not at entry mmr, where Power Word Life and Divine Word allow you some extra flexibility in the opening.
I also think that Spirit of Redeemer for CC immunity would be far superior to Greater Heal in a high mmr lobby (I frankly do not even think Gheal is playable at high MMR).
However at low MMR, I cannot see how one play’s without Gheal, since everoyne is virtually standing still, PvE’ing each other (I maybe get kicked once per twenty gheals cast from max range, 90% of which are by resto shamans using shear).
I love that no one in their right mind recommends hpal

Really wish i understood what i do wrong lol, literally can’t get 1800 on mine. If the games remotely go into dampening i just don’t feel like i have the healing to keep anything alive compared to a Disc that has like 5 different CDs to rotate that aren’t affected by dampening (except Rapture) and Rsham/MW just sheer output and these 3 are the only ones seemingly queuing.
I can’t even watch any streams or play against any others cause they don’t exist. Played like 400 rounds in the past 2 weeks, 0 mirrors.
Really feels like the forums play a different game sometimes.
Everyone just passively /pity’s the H pals.

In general, for the last several expansions, healing actually gets easier as you’re rating increases, until you hit that sweaty 2200 region (relative to the season), then it picks up again in difficulty, but the difficulty increase stems from intricate knowledge of each class you’re paying with and against, knowing when to purge and dispel.
For strict numbers, your raw healing throughput trials have already been completed if you hit 1800. You’ll see it get easier from 1900 straight up to and past 2100 (again, going by previous seasons).
I can tell I got hardstuck rat league for jumping into solo queue only four days of playing the new expansion. So I’m going to wait for next season’s reset before I try again with Hpriest.
For now, based on what I’m seeing today, think the Pevoker is a solid choice to avert going into rat leauge, and rsham sustain should be get me past 1800 quite easily.
