Recommended PSU

Hello all, im running a 500w Roseville PSU that I’ve had in my pc for about 7 years now with no issue I’ve upgraded a year ago to something bigger and bronze certified which was a 750w Roseville, it hit the bed recently and had to switch to my older one for now which I fear will do the same being so old luckily the other one didn’t fry my stuff thank God,

Which One would be a good cheap one to use to replace it

I7 3770
Rx270
16gb x4 gb
2ssds, 2 hdds

Eventually I do want to upgrade but its been solid so far I just want to keep it going since its a good pc and don’t want to lose it lol

cheap, you don’t want. Budget friendly is what you want.

Looking at Newegg and Amazon,
good units
Corsair CX550 (the non-modular has a better platform than the modular) for $69 on amazon is solid

Super Flower leadex III 750w bronze green eco for $85 on newegg. Very similar to the CX above in terms of parts & build quality but modular and with a hybrid fan mode. For $10 more you can get…

better PSU
Antec earthwatt 650w Pro EA650G is $95 on amazon and a renamed seasonic focus unit. The earthwatt non-pro is not made by seasonic and an OK PSU but not in the same class as the PRO series.

Super Flower Leadex III gold for $99 on newegg, best on the list and the one I would get if I needed a PSU today for my gaming PC. 550w version is only $82 on newegg if you have no plans to use high end GPU’s, it as also an excellent unit.

Corsair psus are really good, I’d only get gold+, and 800 watt at least for anything. I’m using 1000 watt cause it was on sale, so looking out for sales may be a good idea too.

Yea I don’t want to cheap out on something crucial and they are so expensive right now

You are obviously entitled to your opinion but gold plus rating is not a quality rating or even a personal gold performance guarantee. Also 800w is overkill for most PC gaming systems.

Strong demand on personal computers and laptops for people working from home put a large demand on parts and supply for OEMs. On top of that the trump administration increased tariffs on PSU and obviously that cost is passed onto consumers.
