Unlike Kiryu, Ichiban was written as a hero. Kiryu is the protagonist who is nominally good.
I beat the game over Christmas and you will love it. Working on my second playthrough
Ff14 and guildwars2 has their effort to rewards rate perfect. You get the rewarded proportionate to the effort you put in. Raids are kind of boring in ff14 though as everything can be predicted once you memorized the timeline.
For offline rpg, cyberpunk is surprisingly good. Even though theres bugs here and there, the environment and characters are quite refreshing and you get can get suck into it.
There’s only one RPG worth playing when WoW has you miffed:

hugs copy of Final Fantasy 7 Remake
guild wars 2
star wars the old republic
final fantasy 14
There is a lot of similarities and differences between those and they are all active mmorpg games.
FF14 for sure. Such a friendly community and so much to do and learn.
The art team “borrowed” heavily from Ori for Ardenweald.
Looks great.
Rifts, pen and paper. amazing RPG with so many possibilities, amazing story and VERY detailed NPC’s.
as for Comp games. I REALLY suggest Rimworld. it doesn’t look the “Best” but OMG is it FUN. especially with all the addons. I’ve lost about 1000 hours of my life playing it lol. it’s not a MMO, but trust me, once you get the hand of it, it’s the best game ever made.
