I got frustrated with wow and decided not to renew my sub and try something else. Anyone has suggestions what to play? I want to try another RPG, not necessarily MMO. I’m kinda looking forward to Diablo 4 though I’m not sure when it’ll be available to play.
Oh and I prefer something like wow, ancient themed. Not guns spaceship and stuff.
I’d reccomend Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s still in early access but I’m really enjoying it.
Divinity Original Sin 2, it’s Baldur’s Gate 3, but without the D&D base that’s been holding cRPGs down for eternity

I second Divinity Original Sin 2 it’s one of the best. Pillars of Eternity is a great turn based option with more build depth.

Go old school “Lands of Lore” was one of my first RPG and I still remember it fondly , even had Patrick Steward doing the Kings voice.
Kingdoms of Amalur. I think it’s on sale on Steam right now.
Outward is pretty good. It starts out hard, hard to earn gold, hard to kill stuff so if you like instant gratification it’s not for you. It also has a bit of steep learning curve but once you’re there it’s fun and it’s got lots to explore.
Grim Dawn on steam heard it’s good have not tried it though
Grim Dawn is pretty fun for a while, but if you want a Grim Dawn type of experience, you’re probably just better off playing Path of Exile
Well, if you’re looking for something Diablo-like, there’s always Path of Exile.
If you’re looking for another MMO experience, as others have said, Baldur’s Gate 3 is an option. FFXIV might also work, except for the:
One of the classes is Mechanist, uses a gun, although they use mana bullets rather than actual ones, I think.

Oh and if you have a PS4 I recommend taking a look at their PS2 games, lot of RPGs on there and PS2 was considered the golden age for RPGs.
The job is called Machinist I have one maxed, and they use several types of bullets. I’ve been playing FF14 since launch in 2013. It’s the overall second best MMO behind WoW and does some things better especially the story and music. Dungeons and class design are very good. Anyone who has not played FF14 is missing out.
Morrowind is always good, if by chance you have yet to play it. I hear good things about Daggerfall as well, but the age of the game means you will have to jump through a few hoops to get it to run on modern hardware.
New world is looking good. Unfortunately it’s not out yet. I have been playing the alpha and it’s really great. I’ll probably quit and switch to it once it launches.
Nothing against wow but I like to try new things. I may quit permanently or not, we shall see.
Go play Divine Divinity and Divinity 2. Both are great RPG’s and in Divinity 2 you become a dragon, and divine divinity is Diablo but better in my opinion.
I personally prefer Arena despite how jank it is. Daggerfall is still better than Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim by far and thanks to Daggerfall unity it takes no effort to get it running.
