I have just had my table blow up on me on my first cast of the day for about the 5th time and I am just sick of it, it feels terrible when it happens and it happens so often. I never get more than a couple of casts before being put on a 4 hour cooldown and it’s the only way to level the profession. No other profession has anything like this and I really feel like it has to be removed as it’s ruining Alchemy right now.

And it just blew up in my face on the first try again, that’s 8 hours wasted today. Surely this can’t be intended? It makes me feel awful every time, it’s the worst thing about the expansion by far.
I think the reason is because alchemy is the easiest and cheapest profession to level and they needed some way to timegate it. On engineering for example im STUCK near 76 because everything needs a spark of ingenuity whereas alchemy i started today and im already like 90.
But hard agree this feels awful lol. I get the reason why they did it but I do not understand the method.

I almost have as many spec points (60) than actual profession lvl (67) because it keeps blowing up, it’s actually ridiculous. I failed 2 times in a row, slept, woke up, logged on and failed 2 times again… i’m actually waiting right now to fail again soon : )

I gagve up on Alchemy, but yeah, I’m stuck on inscription 67 until people start ordering recipes I can make. If they do at all. Otherwise my only hope is the slow burn of gaining recipes.
I have a feeling a lot of players are going to just not be able to hit 100 on some professions.

This must actually be broken. It obvioulsy can’t be meant to be this bad right ? I’ve attempted experimentation 4 times today. First time exploded first attempt. Second time exploded first attempt. Third time got 1 experiment off before exploding 2nd attempt. Fourth time exploded first attempt?
Like come on. There needs to be a grace period if you’ve exploded without even getting a craft off or something.

It honestly feels bugged to me. AT MOST I get 1-2 casts before it blows up, but usually it’s on the first cast so I don’t get a single skillup. This happens every day. If this is intended I have no words, as it’s probably the most anti fun mechanic they’ve ever added. And the fact that it’s RNG makes it even worse, some people are getting lucky and are making a killing on the AH, while the rest of us can’t even level up the profession because of this terrible mechanic.

The exploding alchemy is not new. We used to have to go back to a capital city and risk blowing up alchemy back as far as, I’m going to say BC?
Yeah trying to level new now and its crap. Cant keep artisans mettle enough to run the trial potions/phials expirement and then it explodes in my face and takes points away from my specializations
