I am absolutely arguing that the Nightborne suck both ICly and OOCly. With all due respect to the Nightborne Civilians who were not fighters and were just going along with it to live: GET. SERIOUS. This isn’t occupied France. This is the Burning Legion, an endless army of Demons intent on remaking the universe. The very same Burning Legion that tried to DESTROY THEM in the War of the Ancients. The Legion was never going to also the Nightborne to live. Not as they were. Azeroth would have been destroyed. Suramar would have been obliterated and if the Nightborne lived at all, it would be as Demons and servants. The Nightborne earned their fate the very moment they decided to get into bed with the Legion.
Nightborne are absolutely cowards. Tyrande said a few wary words about them which were immediately justified, so they run between factions, begging for scraps from a table they have no place at. The Horde is lessened for having such dishonorable backstabbers amongst them.
Case in point.
Precisely right. It was Night Elves who saved the Nightfall rebellion in its infancy long before any Blood Elf ever set foot in Suramar, and thus saved their entire civilization. Because this all happened in 7.0 and the Blood Elves didn’t enter Suramar until 7.1.5.
Precisely.
Gentarn, she never met with any other HORDE leaders either. Thalyssra made a stupidly uninformed decision. She was dazzled by the glitz and glam of Silvermoon, but we all know that Silvermoon does not reflect the true heart of the Horde. No, the true heart of the Horde is the slave labor camps in Hillsbrad. The true heart of the Horde is rounding up humans to use as livestock to feed to their spider farms. The true heart of the Horde is tearing apart women and children to stitch them together into abominations.
I like it when people talk about how dangerous the Legion is and then get mad when people who are forced to meet them face to face decide to not swing at them becsuse they’re so scary.
The concept behind mechagnomes is actually really cool, unfortunately the execution leaves something to be desired. Their plot is cool, and I like mechagon the dungeon, and I really like vision of perfection, but… they just look bad.
tbh most of the demons that joined the legion did so because any rebellion against sargeras was smacked down by the titan himself.
the illidari actually had quite a few demons on their side because they were the most successful Legion rebellion since the very first on uuuh Marduum I think? don’t hold me to it, it’s been a while and i’m not googling it. either way the illidari also failed.
very few people have stood against the Legion’s full might and lived to tell the tale, so i don’t really fault elisande for taking the coward’s route.
To them, it seemed like this chance was better than guaranteed annihilation.
But I think my original post wasn’t entirely clear. You can hate on their decisions on a moral stance. But the writing itself was believable and thus didn’t suck.
Was it a heroic decision? Probably not. Was it realistic? Yep. Also I’m going to reiterate and agree with Taalva that BfA’s treatment of them was horrible. Though, let’s be honest, no one came out of the faction war looking good on a writing level.
I can’t agree that the Nightborne suck or are untrustworthy. If the Alliance are upset that they chose the Horde instead of them, whatever they’re reasons might have been, that’s their problem. Thus far they’ve been invaluable to us and I’m glad to have them.
People really gotta play both factions and talk to major lore NPCs even if they’re not directly involved in a quest. At the staging area for the invasion of Suramar, you can see how Liadrin was already trying to build good relations with the Nightborne while Tyrande was openly disdainful of them and was only trying to take the land itself, not liberate any of the people in it.
I knew the Nightborne were going Horde months before they actually did because of that. It was obvious.
The only thing I can say is… but blueberry? And also Corpse Bride? That makes me curious as to your take on the Night elf blue skintone. The hair doesn’t seem that oily to me, but the tentacles are a bit odd. The skeletal fingers for the male are also reasonably strange, it’s as if the void made them skin and bones.
It’s true, because you can murder 5 people for a justifiable reason but you still MURDERED them.
This.
The joys of being a neutral Blood Elf that leans more towards the Horde due to actions of the Alliance, but understand that what one person does, does not make for a whole. Honestly, she doesn’t even know what’s going on in her own community of blood elves. Solo-rider if anything.
I too also want to cry for what the horde is becoming. We have very little options to stray away from the dark path they’re making the horde sink into. I can only hope we’ll be redeemed.
You’re not making yourself much look better as an ‘alliance member’. Be the bigger person. You’re lessering yourself as a person.
That’s the undead. Not all of the horde. Please go back to your previous statements of ‘uniformed decisions.’ and ‘not reflect the true heart of the horde’ those were under someone who was defecting from SYLVANAS. - Who most people now hate. Like me.
THIS!
… He did what?
But my EXP buffs!
To put it kindly: I don’t have a fondness to Velves, I don’t have a fondness to Nightborne, both were made to be pretty bad.
And the blithering greed-bloated incompetents who made the game.
(All my love to the Blizzard devs lower on the totem pole who are doing all the work and turning in their best while being given stupid directions and paid in magic beans. Y’all need a union already.)
