People have the RP tools to look the way they want what ever. They have the knowledge that they share common ancestry but their story and path is now what it is through VEs.
Part of my issue is BEs have already lost visual uniqueness again and again, when we finally had a chance to get something unique it was recently just given right back to VEs. BE main story is that of the playable High Elf race and making them neutral or adding an Alliance version of that story now infringes on BE story.
You’re essentially (this thread) down to just wanting a designated name change for HEs to be their own Alliance race which I view very much as possible infringement on BE story, considering HE fans have this weird idea they need to be around every corner in BE story as some sort of foil.
If restoring VEs to being Void is your goal, while giving something that doesn’t infringe on BEs visually or narratively I would support Half Elves, seemingly uniquely Alliance but the same High Elf ancestry and adjacency to Humans that many HE fans seem to like. But even that seems like a sailed ship, it’s not Blizzards or players who are fed up w HE demands fault that community isn’t satisfied and at some point bending over backwards to find new ideas for them is just even more exhausting bcz the new ideas create possible new issues as well.

The LGBTQ+ thread was taken down temporarily for a day and restored, there was even a technical support thread made asking what happened and they responded that they were cleaning the thread up. And then it was restored later.
