Theyre watching. I commented earlier to see if they were and they took it and did exactly what I knew they would do.

I would just like to point out that’s there a Pandaren here saying we didn’t have portals in classic and we all want it anyway. Totally normal.

Hey you know what? The world is huge but we want people to REALLY see how huge it is. So we are going to close all the airports so you drive around or take a boat. IMMERSION ERMAHGERD.

yeah. you have to wonder about how boring my life would be in order to think that having more of my time wasted in travel than in actual content is ‘immersion’.
Thankfully there are other games out there that make playing the game the objective and dont play games with modes of travel.

I can’t fathom why they didn’t just remodel the Cleft of Shadows. Move around some of the existing huts and build the new portal room right there.

Because the new Portal Room is a much better location.

the best location for portals for MoP level characters is IN MoP temples.

Glad they pulled this now before I talked any of my friends into playing this stupid game.
We’ll be over at a better game with real travel modes where they focus on game play instead of stalling players out on a stupid pack animal.

Cant say much about that. Some really good games have big $$$ shops. You just have to ignore them if you dont like that sort of thing. Personally, I do like them.
As long as its not required to play the game.

Problem is, your mage won’t be able to take you to all the places the removed portals could. Wanna go to Caverns of Time? You’re SOL, bud. Hellfire Peninsula? Lol, who goes there anymore? Karazhan? Get a ring and do it yourself! Even the mages are screwed over by this change.

strategically that is the worst place they could have put it.
Alliance players make it into the center of orgrimmar all the time anyway. No doubt they’ll do it even more now since all they have to do is knock at the front door to get to the portals.
Only reason it wont be a problem is because theres no NPC’s to kill… well, that I saw in my 18 seconds there before I logged off.

You dont put important crap by the front door.

Got a point there, but still, removing those portals after all the feedback against it was pretty flipping stupid. All they’re doing is trying to inflate that “time played metric”, well, they won’t get that with me, account was cancelled long before any mention of portal removals and time has been up for quite a while now.

Ya see, ActiBlizz, it’s not that you’re dragging your feet with flying, removing portals, over pruning classes, making terribly boring and copy pasted content, implementing ridiculous systems to replace old ones, etc, etc, and in general just making plating WoW an excercise in frustration . . . No wait, yes it is all that and much more. Well, kiddies, you baked this cake and I bet it’s going to choke you when you try to eat it. Sad really, very sad.

The only people it might be a problem for is the ones who have War Mode on. I’ve never had it on and never will so not a problem for me.

As someone who can be objective, I’ll agree it is a worse location. I may not main Horde, but the location isn’t what you call a smart spot.

Ive got probably half a dozen people who are getting more interested in trying out an MMO.
I had been steering them all towards WoW.
Thankfully Blizzard pulled this crap now so I can redirect them to ESO now and save them the irritation when they do finally get into a game.

And people have been telling me to try FF14. I did make a trial account, and am trying it out because of the frustration with this game. I also stopped my reoccurring sub with wow.

Last night I was trying to farm Raiding with Leashes in Pandaland on alts and spent way too much time having to run out of dungeons and flying around, when a week ago, I would have had a very efficient route where I could spend time enjoying myself and less time traveling.
