If it’s old and not relevant why the hell do you need to change it if players are already happy doing it for cool looking items and mogs?

Yes, the word cheat was included in a hypothetical scenario. The hypothetical scenario of another game with a flaw in security.
Scaling tech is not a magic tool the way you think it is. They would need to take a very long amount of time to get everything to work for 120s. And then even more work each new expansion to raise it to the new cap. They can’t even get TW balanced correctly since they screwed it up over a year ago. And WoD’s world scaling is still messed up as well for the same amount of time.
And that’s all a bunch of work that would massively delay any new content for a long while, plus it would only serve to annoy people who like farming that stuff on their own.

Do you prefer having 7 expansions of dead content? just to get this fake feeling of progression?
No one forces you to go there, save for leveling up.
No one forces you but heavily encourages with legendary loot.
I’d rather have seven expansions of dead content than several years of no new content as they work through all the bugs getting that old content working again. And I’d much prefer that dead content instead of having to deal with a much bigger pain trying to farm decade old items.

There are other reasons to farm legacy content than 00.01% drop rare trophy loot. Raiding for leashes, xmog, disenchantables, vendor gold…
I hate the 00.01% drop rate, but I do pursue a select few because I want actually use them.

The point is to not have 7 expansions of dead content. Expansions that you payed for, each one of them, and that are now completely butchered.

The first is an attack on a mechanic, the second is an attack on a mechanic, the third is a hypothetical scenario on a fictitious game. Attack the ideas, not the person.
It is not dead content or fake progression. Especially on my little baby alts that I like to make and play through that content again. Not to mention all the shiny new Allied Races.
You are truly stretching things to the point that I’m starting to worry about your mental health.
Just accept the fact that other people are different from you and you, apparently, will never be able to understand them.

That is still the most positive cost benefit I can imagine. This would multiply the playable area by 8.
Firstly I didnt pay for them. They all came for my price paid for LEGION.
Secondly Ive run it all TONS of times by leveling up probably 85 characters to one level or another, locking most of them at 60 or 90.
Ive PLAYED the content, I dont need to have it changed more than it has been because, as we ALL know, if this CURRENT dev team gets their hands on it it’ll just result in more nerfing and screaming.

That is not remotely close to anything I said since the beginning of the thread.
You kill the Lich king with 1 hit and then procedes to die to a bird on the river. It is a fake sense of progression. it is a meaningless number.
