Rearranging and Removing Portals

Right… Not sure how that supports your point, though? They’re both doing really well, all things considered.

No, you have no idea how this works. No one tells me how to play the game because THEY DO NOT pay my sub, I do. Until they pay for my account, they get literally zero say in how I play this game.

Most likely Ions sock account. same condescending bs

Why they play is important to player retention. If you start doing things that make their Why less pleasant to engage in, you’re going to have issues with player retention.

Oh, my sides.

C’mon now, you can agree that this is a relevant and important topic within the WoW community. But this user claimed that actual media were covering the GD thread, and that it had gone viral. They had no way to save face, so their narrative shifted to user-generated “media”, which is not what the claim was.

We can still discuss this amongst ourselves, since many are so passionate about it, but don’t double down on someone else’s bad argument.

So?
This may come as a shock but…I…DON’T…CARE!.
I do not play a game because some employee wants me to: I play on my own dime, my own needs and desires.
Btw, you’re not a Blizzard employee so you have absolutely no right pretending to represent them.

100%. He has to see what he’s posting, right? Somehow devs or ANYONE ELSE can tell me how to play a game for some reason? Absolutely absurd.

LOOOOL. Yo, I like you. You’re awesome. Thank you for being you with your amazing hair. He acts like he can dictate how we play our own accounts LOL.

EVEN IF that were true…SO WHAT?
Crap content in quantity is still CRAP.

‘best’ is subjective. I realize thats a hard concept here.
Warmode isnt about this expansion, so dont even try to equate that change to BfA. WM is a WORLD change.

Probably #1 depending on the way of the week. It was one of their many “great idea, poor execution” things they have built a reputation for being “excellent” at. I still believe Warmode is a good idea. However, it needs work.

Well I may have been hyperbolic in saying they aren’t successful, but I still don’t think its fair to compare WoW to both of those unless we get an exact number on the PC / Console player ratio.

If we compare the number of PC players on all 3, I have no doubt WoW would be ahead by a substantial margin.

Name me some forms of emergent gameplay that are prevalent in WoW, that aren’t intended by the WoW devs that come out of simple mechanics.

Raiding? Nope.
WPvP even? Nope.
Battlegrounds? Nope.
Questing? Nope.
Island Expeditions? Nope.
Arenas? Nope.
Brawlers Guild? Nope.
Transmog/mount farming? Nope.
Achievement hunting? Nope

The only one I can even think of is community events and Roleplaying.

Nonsense.
Classes have ZERO to do with removing my portals. Irrelevance much?

The rest of your list there is quite pathetically irrelevant to the issue here.
NOTHING about those portals makes the game worse. IF it had theyd have been removed from MoP LONG ago.

Go to Vol’Dun and look for a Vulpera named Wiley carrying a rocket and chasing a “Ridge Runner”.

That made my day way more than some silly old bear.

I’m not throwing my chip in with either side. By definition:

/ˈmēdēə/

noun

noun: media ; plural noun: media ; noun: the media

the main means of mass communication (broadcasting, publishing, and the Internet) regarded collectively.

Youtube is the media.

I play ESO, and we don’t play with the console gamers. Each platform has its own individual and unique community; I’m assuming FF14 is the same, but unsure.

Sort of, yeah. People only do all of those group activities you listed for the loot.

Correct

When you implement a system that’s pure, awful RNG and people are constantly getting loot that’s useless to them, that sort of ruins the point of running the content. It feels unrewarding.

Yes, rpgs have RNG into them, all of them have A LOT of rng. And the thing about RNG is that the more you add to it, the less variance it has, specially since wow has a lot of anti bad luck mechanics. There has not been an increase in randomness at all. Random systems do not allow the same guild to always get first place over and over again. The amount of skill involved in the game is still insane, and good players will always get an edge.

The best players will always have the best items. Even if a lowly gets lucky on an item, good players get them consistently.

That is very true.

In a way you maybe correct but they don’t account for a player intent such as cheating and exploits,as well as,i don’t want to do that raid ,i want to go fishing today.

Then why aren’t they adding incentives to go out and see the world? Why is the blue poster in this thread mentioning instant teleport items if the intention is to get us to go out and see the world? It’s almost like they don’t really care and just want to add more time to the things we were already doing.

However, software developers that become completely disconnected from their players is not a good thing. Because the developers are still human and can still make mistakes.

But they’ve proven time and again that they’re aren’t very good, or fast, when it comes to toning down scaling issues.
