That’s your opinion.
The design of the portals seem to be to give mages, druids and warlocks (don’t know if they belong here) more options of movement compared to the other classes. So it seems they are moving the portals so that the mage has the option to port directly to the city or to the random portal zone, giving them an edge.
So this is why I think they are moving the main portals to outside the city.
I’m not sure but I think the portals in dalaran were removed so porting there and porting somewhere else is not an option I think. And they will probably remove the dalaran and draenor hearthstone at some point.
I suspect that there are a lot more al-o-holics than you can imagine. In other games I have played (such as EQ2), I normally hop from one alt to another and play whoever I feel like playing at any given time. Wow is the only MMO that I have ever played where the stress on max level and end game was so intense that I deliberately worked to get every character to a high level.

Don’t even respond to him. He said he wanted to tell us how to play the game on our accounts like he pays for them or something. Not worth your time.
I’m pretty sure they’re doing it to funnel players into the areas in which they want them to be.
That said, this is a really hamfisted means of accomplishing that, though. Rather than giving players good reasons to be where they want them to be, they’re instead limiting the use of travel through areas they don’t want them to be.
That, IMO, is not good design.

Which is why I think this dumpster fire is just a distraction and was always intended to be.
Why on earth would they be so willing to cause a fight over some meaningless portals to nowhere important?

It is my direct example as to how this change negatively impacts me.
And your example seems to be very popular, although you have an extreme version of it.
This drives me to 2 scenarios:
- Suck it up
- Don’t do the activity
I really think you should consider the second option. Old content is not being supported and it is in a terrible state right now. I can’t imagine a more boring and frustrating activity.
It’s almost like YOU can’t stand it, but a LOT of players can. Why do you care what other people do on THEIR account?

Valid questions. Dunno. Perhaps those are the Legion and Pandaria ‘area’ portals. They’re not really good design either.

Azunsa probably to avoid 2 dalaran portals which I can understand but the portals going to the Jade Forest seem to just extend travel time in pandaria
don’t think so, making a portal to wyrm rest and another to legion dalaran would be more popular. They seem to be intentionally making the portals be in bad positions.
Honestly, portals that lead to places that aren’t either faction-aligned or sanctuary is a bad idea.
Wyrmrest Temple is not a good destination for a portal.

They are telling you how they play the game but you say that it’s a boring and frustrating activity. You are letting the fact that you hate old content get in your way of seeing how bad of a change this is. You do realize that, right?
