Then just make the allied races skin variations of the races they modified versions of n also have em on the same faction as who they copied from. Which means a unification n amends for some folks in there.
Having both these races on the same faction just leads the same ridiculous imbalance we have now; the debuff removal is by far THE MOST POWERFUL RACIAL IN THE GAME and having both of them on the same faction is inexcusable.
In this timeline Sylvanas didn’t murder Garithos as soon as she was done with him, and instead kept her word about leaving once the dreadlords were dead.
Garithos was executed for treason as soon as the Alliance was rebuilt to a point where he could be tried, but it became known that Sylvanas’s undead were capable of dealing with the living just like any other race.

Horde
Instead of just not fighting the Horde over the wasteland and then aggressively fighting the Horde the moment they realized they needed resources to live, the Night Elves gave the Horde the southern end of Kalimdor.
Feralis and Un’goro provided plenty of resources for the growing nation, and the orcs considered it an honor to be entrusted with keeping the Silithids and Qiraji in check.

The Army of Light has ties to both the Alliance and Horde in this timeline, so they remain neutral.
