Rearrange the factions

  • It’s still Alliance vs Horde, no third faction.
  • You must have a minimum of 10 races per faction.
  • You can have a maximum of 3 neutral races.
  • You can boot 2 races entirely.
  • You can create 1 new race per faction.

Default for guidance:

  • Alliance: Human, Kul’Tiran, Night Elf, Void Elf, Dwarf, Dark Iron Dwarf, Gnome, Mechagnome, Draenei, Lightforged Draenei, Worgen.
  • Horde: Orc, Mag’har Orc, Blood Elf, Nightborne Elf, Troll, Zandalari Troll, Tauren, Highmountain Tauren, Goblin, Vulpera, Forsaken.
  • Neutral: Earthen, Pandaren, Dracthyr.

I would do…
Alliance: Human, Night Elf, Void Elf, Blood Elf, Nightborne Elf, Dracthyr, Draenei, Lightforged Draenei, Worgen, Vulpera, Pandaren, Vrykul.

Horde: Orc, Mag’har Orc, Gnome, Mechagnome, Troll, Zandalari Troll, Tauren, Highmountain Tauren, Goblin, Forsaken, Wolvar.

Neutral: Dwarf, Dark Iron Dwarf, Earthen

Kul’Tiran gets the boot!

Alliance: kick mechagomes and worgen, add Kobald and murlocks.
Horde: kick forsaken, add naga.

I’d love to have grummles added as a playable race. I’m guessing they would probably fall under neutral.

Breaking the rules slightly, but it is what it is

Horde:

  1. Orc
  2. Troll
  3. Tauren
  4. Blood Elf
  5. Forsaken
  6. Goblin
  7. Ogre
  8. Half-Orc (Half-Ogre/Half-Eredar)
  9. Nathrezim/Dreadlord
  10. Murloc

Alliance

  1. Human
  2. Night Elf
  3. Dwarf
  4. Draenei
  5. Naga
  6. Worgen
  7. Gnome
  8. Treants
  9. Vulpera
  10. Kyrian

Neutral

  1. Ethereal
  2. Furbolg
  3. Pandaren

Then just make the allied races skin variations of the races they modified versions of n also have em on the same faction as who they copied from. Which means a unification n amends for some folks in there.

Alliance: Human, Kul’Tiran, Night Elf, Void Elf, Dwarf, Dark Iron Dwarf, Gnome, Mechagnome, Draenei, Lightforged Draenei, Worgen, Vrykul.

Horde: Orc, Mag’har Orc, Blood Elf, Nightborne Elf, Troll, Zandalari Troll, Tauren, Highmountain Tauren, Goblin, Vulpera, Forsaken, Mok’nathal.

Neutral: Earthen, Pandaren, Dracthyr.

Having both these races on the same faction just leads the same ridiculous imbalance we have now; the debuff removal is by far THE MOST POWERFUL RACIAL IN THE GAME and having both of them on the same faction is inexcusable.

(or just remove it, or give it to all races)

Well good news. In my scenario the mok’nathal have a debuff remover as well.

So they’re so huge they can’t get out of mechanics. Great.

Your list is not diverse enough for the Alliance.

Alliance

In this timeline Sylvanas didn’t murder Garithos as soon as she was done with him, and instead kept her word about leaving once the dreadlords were dead.

Garithos was executed for treason as soon as the Alliance was rebuilt to a point where he could be tried, but it became known that Sylvanas’s undead were capable of dealing with the living just like any other race.

  • Humans
  • Dwarves
  • Gnomes
  • Forsaken
  • Blood elves
  • Worgen
  • Nightborne
  • Dark Iron Dwarves
  • Kul tiran humans
  • Mecha-Forsaken (Gnomes help the Forsaken maintain their decaying bodies with mechanics)

Horde

Instead of just not fighting the Horde over the wasteland and then aggressively fighting the Horde the moment they realized they needed resources to live, the Night Elves gave the Horde the southern end of Kalimdor.

Feralis and Un’goro provided plenty of resources for the growing nation, and the orcs considered it an honor to be entrusted with keeping the Silithids and Qiraji in check.

  • Orcs
  • Tauren
  • Trolls
  • Night elves
  • Draenei
  • Goblins
  • Mag’har orcs
  • High mountain Tuaren
  • Vulpera
  • Pandaren

Neutral

The Army of Light has ties to both the Alliance and Horde in this timeline, so they remain neutral.

With the Blood Elves already members of the Alliance, Void elves don’t have an in with any major faction after being exiled so they remain neutral.

Drakthyr and Earthen lore stays the same.

  • Lightforged Draenei
  • Void Elves
  • Drakthyr
  • Earthen

Pandaren were supposed to be an Alliance-race during TBC as an “even out” for the Blood Elves.
