So the realm info is out and there are 0 listed changes to the honor system as it presently exists on era servers and no changes to the participation requirements to earn honor. That means the best way to get gear in fresh will be to queue for a bg, zone in, and tap your space bar.
Currently on Whiteman there are 20+ players are are actively famous for being so obvious with their afk farm and hundreds of others who do it but at least try to hide it. The fact that his is planning on being allowed will stop me from playing fresh.
If the original vanilla team revamped the honor system to mandate participation, that’d be great. But if current Blizzard is tasked with “fixing” this, then the game will be destroyed. So no thanks.
Reporting for non participation is a drop down in the report menu. If this isn’t acceptable, then it sounds like classic isn’t for you. I wish you luck.
Either you are responding here without currently pvping in classic, or are you responding here knowing what you suggest has 0 effect in the current version of classic. Either way, why bother?
Blizzard’s lack of action is one of the main issues yes. The other is putting policing afker’s/griefers purely in the hands of players. The current honor system is objectively a failure. It incentivizes lack of participation as the most efficient method to climb. Changing the honor system to incentivize participation and punish lack of participation would be only a bad thing to afkers
This has been a dynamic for 20 years. Yet people wanted to play it again. The only variable here is if Blizzard will police the situation or not. That’s it.
I don’t really understand why you are here. Your activity shows you do nothing but make pointless comments on hundreds of threads. Some of us actually care about the quality of experience on the new fresh servers and don’t hate change just because it’s change. Change can be good. Incentivizing player participation is good. Making afking/griefing not profitable is good.
If this concept is too complex for you i’m not sure what else to say. Try a new thread
