Blizzard has announced that on August 4, Maelstrom, Lightninghoof, and The Venture Company will be connected with Twisting Nether and Ravenholdt. For those who don’t know, Twisting Nether and Ravenholdt were previously connected. All five of these realms are former RPPVP realms, and this connection group will now include all former RPPVP realms except for Emerald Dream.
Based on the last available population numbers I know of, which granted are at least a year old, the connected server will be approximately half of the population of Emerald Dream. That means we’ll get a substantial population boost - approximately doubling the population - without the excessive crowding and minutes long auction house delays that Emerald Dream had at BFA launch.
