Hey WoW team,
I’m trying to pick a server for TBC as Horde. Don’t care if it is PvP or PvE, mostly looking for a decent pop and relative faction balance.
Any advice is welcome. Thank you!

Hahahaha
Hahahahahaha
Good one!
There’s pretty much no balanced left on NA realms. Just go to the one with the most Horde.
Grobbulus will happily take more horde.
They’re falling below 40% now but holding tough and put up quite a fight.
Windseeker. Don’t follow the bandwagons to realms that are already overcrowded. Help out one that actually needs it. We’re not a dead realm. But we need more people.
Take some time to look around, and see what makes sense for you, imo. ironforge.pro
gives some population data based on raid logs, so may not be super representative of leveling populations or non-raiding populations, which may vary from server to server.
If you enjoy Dungeon Leveling (i.e. running dungeons with guildies at level), we have a community formed around just that on Faerlina Horde. You’re welcome to come check us out:
If that’s not something you’re interested in, I do recommend that wherever you level, you find a guild (or create one, but it’s often easier if one already exists) where everyone can invite. Be active, and invite people you meet who play around the same days and times as you do. Keep in mind that if you invite 10 people, you might be lucky if 1 reaches max-level, so the more the better.
If you’re social, and active, then by the time you reach max-level, you should have a good group of buddies to gear up with, and maybe even find yourselves in the same raiding guild (or form one!).
Best of luck out there!
Just pick a realm that has a healthy Horde population. You’re not gonna get balanced on a PvP realm. Balance won’t matter on a PvE realm at all.
I was actually looking at Ashkandi cuz it seemed similar to Windseeker just with more people!
Well at least you are going to a fellow realm that needs it too. Lows are beyond repair and being abandoned with free transfers, but mediums are still alive and new people could keep them that way.
“Faerlina or whitemane. Those are your only options.”
-Not true, and those realms have enough horde already. Stop dogpiling and go to a realm that actually needs more people.
I seriously considered Faerlina. Isn’t it full though? Am I going to have queues?
You said you wanted faction balance?
Faerlina isn’t it
I don’t think so. It has had queues in the past, but not with layering, afaik. At least, I haven’t experienced any queues since WoW Classic.
Make sure to go on whatever server you are seriously considering and read the chat and look at the Discord. See how the server feels. There have been a huge number of server issues. A lot of servers are dropping in population and ironforge.pro doesn’t show everything so make sure you know what you’re getting into or you may end up having to pay a transfer fee or reroll just to really play the game.
There haven’t been queues in TBCC, it’s all done through layers now.
Absolutely do not do this OP.
Faerlina or whitemane. Those are your only options. Don’t do mankrik either… that server is way too casual.
No, there are no queues in classic. They just layer the servers.
I’m probably just a noob, but I can’t figure out how to find realms on discord. I’ve searched in discord, but do I need an @channel?
If not balanced at least one with people lol
You can find the links by searching Google generally. There have been centralized server indexes made but they are full of expired links. If you want to name some of the realms you’re seriously considering I’ll find you the Discord links if that helps you.
I think I found them, but you’re right, most are dead/expired. Why is that? What happened to them?
Mankrik Horde PvE gots tons of horde and activite guilds, my guild my orc warrior is in always has 60+ people online. But alliance rarely exist on Mankrik.
