Realm Changes & Free Moves for Mists of Pandaria Classic

are we referring to your T11 logs?

There needs to be no limit on gold transfer for people with a lot of gold.

Wait… wtf… Grob players are being refused equal service compared to the rest of the playerbase?

New server is most likely going to be mountain time like SOD and Anniversary.

It’s what they have done, and yes I know it’s technically current Pagle, but that’s what they do… and never experienced latency.

Grob is the focus target.

I am the RP part of Grob. I want to RP on the mega realm.

What happened to the neutral server.

Like how can yall F up a easy W by forcing servers with 10x the population onto the 3rd highest pop server.

Make it make sense.

So why not make a fresh server and make the fresh the destination realm? That would at least make everyone on equal footing in regards to names. No matter which realm you picked people on all the others would be pissed off, which honestly you guys should have managed to have foreseen.

They (Blizz folks) probably play on Pagle and don’t want to lose their names.

Make the mega server a new server. That way EVERYONE has to start over with name reserving. Why should players that won the lottery of having their server selected as the destination get to keep their names and progress? Force everyone to have to reset.

This also means all names are available to everyone.

I would absolutely do a chargeback and say goodbye to Blizzard if they did that level of incompetent customer support to me.

Must say… I’m surprised that by now people don’t know better but to reserve their names on every available server at day 1.

Guess you didn’t server xfer enough in retail to have not seen this issue before.

Why punish people on Grobb that want to do PVE content we can’t even fill a 10man on weekends anymore let people pick if they want to stay or not people who enjoy PVP will stay or transfer over but people who want to raid should be allowed to go somewhere where it’s possible

No thanks. We got more than enough MG players flooding our server at the start of MoP. :joy:

So when do the free server transfers start, the 23rd? Or can you get them now?

Really impressed by the genius who conceived of this plan and the brilliant people who agreed/approved of it. How about you don’t screw over already healthy servers by forcing players to either transfer and restart their guilds with, at this point in classic, years of history and potentially lose the names they’ve been using since 2019 or stay on servers that will be artificially forced to bleed out over time?

While I feel for the tens of people who play on servers with minimal population, there are quite a few MoP servers that already have larger than or comparable populations to the anniversary mega servers that you cite as an example of future “positive effects” and “universally improved player experiences.”

If our servers are already bigger, then what benefits are we going to be seeing here exactly? The PvP servers that are 99% single faction servers have, surprisingly, been that way for years already. This is not a new phenomenon to which players are begging for a quick half-assed fix. Grobbulus has already been an option for those who want to engage in World PvP, and its population speaks for itself.

Converting the existing PvP servers to PvE also removes the emergent gameplay that has evolved over the years, with small focused guilds on the minority factions occasionally contesting areas and providing an experience that will now no longer exist. In return, players will get… What, exactly?

This is clearly a transparent attempt at cost-cutting for a version of the game that is already severely neglected by Blizzard. Attempting to disguise this as beneficial for anyone who already plays on healthy MoP servers is a joke. If you are from Faerlina, Mankrik, or Benediction right now there are absolutely no benefits to this scheme.

Naturally, Blizzard never admits fault or walks back mistakes so this ridiculous plan will move forward and when it leads to losing far more players over the remainder of MoP than it spurs to join I fully expect the decline of overall population to be blamed on some perceived negative quality that MoP has instead of this disastrous idea that will never be able to be undone.

The fact that this decision is not being made with the interests of the playerbase in mind is clearly evident by the lack of guild transfers, arbitrarily repurposing existing servers (neither of which is in the top 2 for population currently, with Grobbulus being borderline-dead already) instead of making new ones, no attempt to utilize the existing methods Blizzard has to merge/connect servers, and the sudden and immediate way this is occurring.

This is a terrible plan, and that is even assuming that it works as intended on a technical level, which as we are all well aware is a pipe dream when dealing with this company. There is no consideration for the humans behind the characters or the communities that currently exist.

I look forward to reaping all of the “positive effects” from this decision, as soon as it can be made clear to me what those are supposed to actually be.

So you put transfers on sale and then within like 3 months do this? Any chance in hell we can expect a refund? xD
