Why does it always show the realm selection screen?
I remember it used to login to the last played realm and
you can just start by selecting your toon. Is there an option?

I thought this was going to be about having blizzard auto pick your realm to distribute the population better. Lol.

Hmmm… Now that you mention it, it does default to the realm selection screen. Do you have characters on multiple realms? I do, so maybe that’s why?
Or maybe it’s doing it just for a little while because they opened more servers? I do recall logging into the character select screen of the last realm I was on, on launch day but yesterday it did go to realm select instead.
all my toons are on same realm and it still pops up realm list for me.

Ok wait good this question popped up again I think I know why.
I think it’s because they have been adding new servers.
Not everyone checks the forums and stuff so I think it’s the best way for that playerbase to notice a new realm.

Maybe this will help.
Navigate to C:\Play\World of Warcraft_classic_\WTF and Add SET realmname "Incendius" to your Config.WTF file.
R Click file and make sure UNCHECK read only.
UPDATE: nope, nothing works. look like Blizz went outta their way to make sure you can’t save realm name. i only have toons on the one server too. weak.

Why is it so difficult to make this an option? Nobody want’s to click a realm EVERY TIME they log into the game.

Unbelievable… but actually expected. sadly.
What’s new? 
Blizzard doesn’t care about classic. They hardly make any money from it. (Well actually they do but it’s all relative). They want it to fail so that we all go to a BFA and buy cool-looking mounts through their ca$h shop with Microtransactions.

I’m quite sure, and 100% positive they make plenty of extra money. Just check the stock price and how it went up on release. You are ignorant to say the things you say.

Game didn’t even have a cash shop other than transfers and character services for the longest time. It survived off subscriber count, expansion sales and those blizzard events. The offer of classic lets them make money from people that otherwise would not be playing retail, instead playing of unofficial classic servers.
