Being able to “Bubble Hearth” is a fairly iconic, if not exactly heroic, feature of the Paladin Class. However, the Reincarnation ability is also an iconic feature of the Shaman class. While Paladins have enormous tools to prevent death, a Shaman’s core tool to recover from death is wholly incompatible with Hardcore. As a result, we are removing the ability for Paladins to use their various immunity abilities to safely cast Hearthstone and escape danger.
They’d have to, right? They’re removing core class features that get you out of dying?
They’ll have to remove petri pots as well. Wouldn’t want anyone to have the ability to get out of a sticky situation.
And on the other hand does Feign Death and Vanish not only remove me from combat, make me immune to any type of incoming damage, while also completely removing me from any type of danger by sending me to my hearth location?
Let’s also not forget that they aren’t removing your ability to use your bubble, only your ability to hearth while it’s active.
Imagine watching a Pally Bubble Hearth and then watch a Hunter using Feing Death in the middle of respawns, in a cave or almost anywhere really and think “Yeah that’s the same thing.”
Very different. Bubble hearth is 100 % save your a$$ if you were going to die. You could jump in lava and bubble hearth.
Try to vanish or feign death out of lava now. Good luck
Personally, i think paladin hate goes back to the warrior developers and their “duels” against paladins in alpha. But that’s a different topic as far as this one is concerned. It’s ABSOLUTELY neccesary in a Hardcore realm. i had thought about rolling a paladin because i could bubble hearth, and “get away with” an easy adavantage that no other class has, and that hyperboles sums up some of the HC classic aversion to some of these abilites. On a regular pve and pvp server it’s probably (most likely) working as intended, but reasons why it would be working as intended and that justification, probably go back to aplha, and those 'developer warrior duels". Here, should avoid being (which post was that said it? 2nd one in this thread?) 'rectally challenged by it, and move on with l.ife.
Of all of Blizzard’s numerous blunders and displays of utter buffoonery, this HC realm thing is surely going to take the cake. It is going to be hilarious.
Thing that they don’t seem to get is that when they attempt to emulate player created content, it never seems to gain the traction that the player generated content did.,
In this situation inthink they are 6 months behind
