Really hard to find live customer service

I’d recommend against trolling here. They have not gotten rid of CS.

And how’s that related to the thread, though? It was already stated live chat wasn’t for appeals, let alone the phone number.

There has never been a number to call to appeal account actions. Not ever.

… And replaced it with the Callback service, for appropriate topics they can help with. Instead of sitting in wait for 3 hours or more at the On Hold Monster they will call you back at your convenience back then.

But I don’t think I’ve seen this or the livechat option around for awhile either anymore :thinking:

No, they no longer have phone callback and have not for about 5 years. Live chat also is very very very rarely available, if at all.

Even so, as others noted, none of that was ever for Appeals. Appeals are ticket only and always were supposed to be. Not that people did not try to game the system to argue with a live GM, but they were not supposed to.

I do wish we had Live Chat still for some of the more complicated Billing and Account issues though. It is sometimes easier to resolve with a real time conversation than slow tickets to different people. On the good side. we DO have this CS forum serving as an Info Desk where the Blues can help direct folks to the right options, or even shove something down the right path. For complex issues, at this point, I recommend coming here first. Vrak or Orlyia are likely to be able to at least get the person on the best path to a resolution and sort out and confusion.

There was never live CS for account actions! Almost no need for it with most other issues. Most other issues can be handled though tickets.

They got rid of it because people had been abusing it. Instead of calling for billing or tech support help they would call for in game issues or because their account was actioned. After a ban wave or in heavy ticket ques you could not get through on the phone.

I will never say never, but I know of no plans to bring it back at this time.
