Before I tried the Razr products, I used to only use Logitech. I dont know to this day why actually I stayed with Razr the time I did. But I am happy I am back using logitech.
This is exactly why I switched to wireless. My mouse wire was always getting stuck on something.
I didn’t either, it was a surprise to see it while I was shopping. I always liked EVGA.
Me too, it’s one of my favorite brands.
That’s kind of what I wonder half the time is what people are doing to their peripherals that they break. I routinely take apart my keyboards and clean them about once a week, take apart my mouse and airduster it and never run into problems. I half think my friends that tell me the “My left click switch doesn’t work correctly” either never clean their stuff or they slam their index finger down on the click in rapid succession. Like when people have a software not working and they just start getting abusive with their devices.
Though who knows, maybe they lose a game of League and start whipping their neighbor with their mouse in some psychotic rage, the people on that game are something else.
Wire management. I have a series of those like office clips, the black ones you squeeze to open lining the back of my desk and I feed the cords through those. Keep them from getting in the way of each other and my desk is very clean so I run into no obstructions.
I just don’t know why I can’t seem to get a mouse that lasts. I’m not rough with them, they don’t get nasty. I still love my Logitech keyboard and speakers… even though the shift key is wearing out… I just have to take the shift key off and adjust the rubber every few weeks.
I would say my next keyboard won’t be Logitech either. It’s a shame I’ve been using the brand since I’ve used computers.
Nope. Even with clips it was still getting stuck.
Easiest way to fix it is to get rid of the wire.
That was the problem I had with the Razer Naga. The Logitech has been flawless for me.
Same as mine! Great keyboard.
There’s still that “pull” from the wire. Wireless all the way for me.
Well, I am from a time “before time”, in which mice were a plastic amalgamation with some small metal structures and rubber ball. You clicked, it actually clicked because a spring mechanism made two metal terminals touch. The rubber ball was attached to rudders with cogs which teeth were metal tipped, and it made it send intermittent signals if the ball was rolling to front or back, and to which side. Then the 9 pin plug would send those signals and the computer would process all of it into information.
That crap would suck up any kind of dirt you would possibly imagine. If you had a woolen sweater, it would soon show up rolled in the mechanism. If someone entered your home with long blonde hair, and stayed for 2 minutes, you would find blonde hairs in your mouse, even if you are redhead. I guess if someone ate crackers in your doorway, there would be crumbs in your mouse next day.
So people who worked with computers from that time would get the OCD of cleaning and doing maintenance of things all the time. It would become PTSD.
I guess that is what make my stuff incredible durable.
I bet if I looked around I’d still have a couple of these in a box somewhere.
The button layout is pretty great looking. I wish it had an extra left and right click buttons near the original clicks. The thumb can only memorize so many keys until it just ends up fumbling around trying to find the right hotkey.
Sorry I was talking about the wireless EVGA mouse, not the wired version. IDK why they can’t make a wireless version of the MMO mouse too.
I ordered one last night based on your recommendation. Tilt Scroll wheel is a MUST HAVE for me, and with the discontinuation of the G700 series, Logitech’s gaming mice with it are way too huge for my hands (can’t reach half the buttons). Their G600 was designed such that I couldn’t operate the mouse AND actuate the thumb buttons (neither could my husband). My Kone AIMO keeps needing warranty replacements for the scroll wheel.
Hoping this will work out for me, but if not, at least it was affordable!
This mouse is now on sale for $29.99 (both EVGA site and Amazon). I had purchased it for the $39.99 from Amazon (it arrived today), but was able to get them to credit me the $10 as an Amazon gift card, even though they usually don’t do price protection.
Worst case, if you already bought it, process a return and order a new one at the lower price, which is what they were originally suggesting I do, even though it costs them more. /smh
It is currently $29 on their website.
I still use my G600. I got 2 of them back in the day for work and loved it. The white one I had died from travel abuse, but the black one is still kicking. Think I paid $40 each.
