I tried Lost Ark but the universe felt somewhat lacking. It did not capture my attention like warcraft 3 did all those years ago, or even like some of the newer game titles.
It also felt way too asian to me. Oddly alien and “not right”.
One of the things I still love about WoW is being able to play a “monster” race. WoW’s selection isn’t as monstrous as EQ’s but it still has a good selection.
I have no interest in playing a perfect DDD human. BORING

Lost Ark is in its “do 2 chaos dungeons / 2 Guardian raids each day” phase. I cannot bring myself to do more daily, not when WoW has daily chores as well and on non raid days I’m playing elden ring.
Not happy with how timesink intensive lost ark became. I just wanna do hard encounters with my guild, y’know?
I’ll play the number 1 MMO on the market, FFXIV, if/when I don’t play WoW.
If it weren’t for the ilvl gating for content, LA would be pretty solid. Took something like 2 weeks to hit 1100. The RNG gem system and abysmal gear upgrade system aren’t great.
I definitely found myself saying wow that’s really cool or, that’s a neat concept more than I’ve said that in WoW for, well forever.
LA is P2W as much as WoW is, you don’t have to spend any money. Decent game overall.
I tried it, gave it a chance and didn’t enjoy it. Maybe it was the lack of classes at launch because there’s one in particular I want to play but it’s not here yet.
Can’t stand top down games. Which is why lost ark is out for me.
From what I have seen, it just has zero appeal to me. But I hope you are enjoying yourself.

Could someone explain why Lost Ark failed to grip this community the same way New World and FF14 did?
I never see anyone talking about it. Is it already another game that no one plays? I was hoping it would be good after watching some gameplay videos. Very sad if it’s already another irrelevant game. Or is because Elden Chad released and absorbed all the gamers?

At least in WoW people have choices if they want to spend RL money.
I gave up on Lost Ark because I couldn’t handle the mount whistle sound.
Because it’s not a standard MMO, not in the sense of a WoW or FF14. It’s an MMO but it’s an ARPG. Beyond that, I couldn’t tell you.
I’d rather play Torchlight 3 because it plays like Diablo 3, or heck even play Diablo 3.
The company made a decision in releasing new content that made it impossible for anyone who did not pay to be able to qualify to enter the new raid.

I thought it was cool. My computer wasn’t up to par for it though. My computer barely plays WoW or ff14 that well so lost ark I was stuttering.
