Really depressed

It’s getting harder and harder to get enjoyment out of WoW every day. I took a break after 9.0.5 hit because I felt a bit burnt out and figured I would come back to raid with my guild for Sanctum of Domination.

It was fun at first, but everyone’s enjoyment petered out almost immediately and people started quitting again, Oribos is already as empty as ever and Korthia dailies turned into a chore only a week and a half in.

Now with the sexual harrassment exposure that has come out for Blizzard I almost feel dirty staying subbed to the game, people in my guild are quitting in wake of it and it’s going to be borderline impossible to be able to keep a raid roster that’s consistent.

I can’t be bothered to find another guild, one that will most likely just fall apart a week or two after I join again. So I’m out, I want to enjoy the game but I can’t. WoW is over for me until Blizzard makes things right.

Hopefully the grass is greener in 10.0 but I doubt it, cya later guys.

Take care my guy. My sub will be running out soon and then I will no longer be able to post on these forums as well.

Have a good one.

I know it’s tough to leave a good friend, but it might be worth it to try out other games until 10.0. Maybe give New World a try, I’ve seen a lot of people playing it recently.

Take care man.
I’m still optimistic that WoW will be great again. Maybe not in 9.2 but next expansion.

Like you, I’m about to take a break from the game once my sub ends next month and come back for 9.2, not because of the allegations but because the game is in such a terrible state and I feel insulted by 9.1. I’m not optimistic about 9.2 at this point, but I’ll still give it a shot. Worst come to worst, I’ll just stay subbed for a month in 9.2 and wait for 10.0

I’m downloading FFXIV as I’m typing this. Heard that game is so good that I gotta give it a try. Hopefully that is a good alternative to WoW for me while I take a break from this game.

Try other games. I’m juggling Fall guys, Valheim and FF14 atm.

WoW has burnout periods, so either you’re burned out and need to take a break and come back later, or you just don’t enjoy the game anymore. Forcing gameplay won’t do you any good, try out other stuff in meanwhile, see if you get a WoW itch later on.

Just pause your sub, maybe come back in the future if something catches your eye. It’ll always (maybe lol) be there.

Lots of other games you can play as a palate-cleanser, FF14 as a change of pace, and even non MMOs. personally am having fun with Skyrim, GTA 5, Animal Crossing, Path of Exile. very addicting games

The last time I really enjoyed WoW with other players was MoP. I sold my guild after that xpac and took a break. When I came back I was playing solo with all my characters in my bank guild. It was great for a bit if you take breaks and accept that certain parts of the game you can’t do. Now it’s 2021 and and I’ve been playing solo since WoD. I’ve quit playing the last three xpacs with an active six month sub and again with SL. The community is just at terrible as it always was in come cases worse. The game has gone to sh!t for casuals and it seems to revolve around mythics and blizzards new “systems” while they shower us with mounts. It’s depressing but there are other games and other things to do with your time. I’m active until the end of December and I’m never again buying a six month subscription plan. One month at a time if I ever renew my subscription again in 2022.

I think I’m going to keep a sub going just out of spite for the people sheepish enough to quit a game because of allegations.

Good god… :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

PoE looks fun, GW2 still has a lot of people doing things in it and the world boss train is always going and the game doesnt lag even with full maps.

Im just getting tired of how slow WoW loads. Take a portal in Oribos and that stupid swirly transition screen will get stuck all the time. Or I can see the map slowly load. This doesnt happen on any other games for me, even more intensive games, but wow it happens all the time.

Give swords of legends a try,I am enjoying it very much

I have no one to really play with anymore. WoW is basically just daily quests for me at this point. People who I regularly played the game with quit in BfA. Been downhill for me since.

All that’s getting tractions is the sexual harassment. I’m more pissed about them taking advantage of customers with WC3 and how I pay a monthly sub for a game with tons of bugs and no loot.

The thing that makes me mad the most is learning that instead of developing the game we all love the most, they were getting drunk, doing cubicle crawls, groping women, and playing CoD… Like, wtf, now we see why BFA and SLs turned out the way they did… I pay you to do your job. I expect you to do your job. Now, I just don’t know if I can put up with the BS anymore…

they have no choice…they have to do something.
the question is will it be SOMETHING…or will they sweep it under the rug and blow lying smoke up our collective rumps about it.

What they need to do in these corporate cases is, since this is about the law anyway, is set up an “HR” office that is run by the state or county where employees for a year or two can take their complaints outside the company …like an oversight sort of thing to make sure ActiBlizzion is keeping their noses clean.

We do that sort of thing with low level criminals, addicts, etc…keep a close eye on them for a year or more till theyve proven they got their crap straight.
Big corps who break the law, harassment or otherwise, should have the same standards applied.

Alright, Goodbye!

You shouldn’t. Neither should anyone employed there that had nothing to do with what went on.

It happened in the relatively recent past, most of the people there now are hard working, decent and very talented people who work hard to provide a good product.

They did nothing wrong. Those who did, most if not all are gone now or have been gone for a bit now.

We’re just now hearing about something that was going on several years ago at least. The investigation has been 2 years long so far so it wasn’t going on for the last 2 years and for some time before then as it would have meant people got riled and put a stop to it and now, here we are.

So it’s not a reflection on you as a person or anyone, as a person, if you continue to play Blizzard games.

Crap can and does happen everywhere and can happen to anyone.
It’s in the process of being over. Let it work itself out and in the meantime, if you quit or take a break let it be because you’re just not having fun at the moment and there’s other stuff to do.
Or stay and play. Either is a good choice. Be well.

(damn I’m long-winded today - sorry about that)

I looked that up, that is an incredibly beautiful world. So far, it looks like you can only play a human character though but it’s really beautiful.

This is exactly how I feel about the whole thing, too. I unsubbed a few weeks back because I wasn’t having fun, and now I see why I wasn’t having fun. When the game is being developed by only a portion of employees who are stressed out/harassed while the rest are doing nothing but goofing off and engaging in sordid activities, I’m taking my money elsewhere. I had originally planned to come back during 9.2 to give it a chance, but now I have no faith in the game design improving, so this may be it for me.

Have fun in whatever your doing and dont ever let a worthless video game make you depressed wow or any other go find happiness elsewhere.
