Reality of avoiding streamers

just got to relise there will most likely be a big streamer on every single server
its not like everyone of them will decide to go the the same place probably the exact opposite actually they all want to be the big fish so they will try to avoid one another.

good luck

Other than the fact we know this is wrong…

And they have the right to do that. It’s it glorious that we all have this right to choose what server we play on ?
Streamers, non-streamers (does anyone really not stream ? ) etc. all are (and should remain) Players first and foremost.

i’m not arguing that they shouldn’t im just saying it will be unavoidable for those who are trying to avoid it

Trying to avoid them is pointless and futile. I’ve thought about streaming myself when I get up to raiding again. Everyone going to suddenly flip a table when the time comes? “you didn’t warn us you were coming to this realm!”

My kid has about 30 followers on youtube (mostly just connecting with friends from school or other low-level youtubers who subscribe to him as a thank you when he subscribes to them). One day I walk by the living room and he’s having a conversation with someone who’s not there. He’d been steaming a psvr game and friend watching random youtube videos got a message. Friend went over and started spamming chat window for kid to play a different game, kids turn on mics and start talking from wherever they happen to be. So aside from everyone being a potential streamer, you have the fact that not every streamer is a game disrupter (probably very very few if the game is very big). If some squad decends on the area you’re mucking through it might get annoying (launch mob aside), so probably fair enough to reduce risk by picking a sever the biggest streamers aren’t on at least.

On the flipside, I’ve seen streamers actually go anonymous specifically so they could demo whatever with minimal disruptions themselves, private/vip server if the particular game allowed. On games with no private servers (though I know Blizzard caught flak when people saw streamers streaming from servers shown as offline one time in history), they’d at least get a little headstart and only have a potential threat from people actively watching their stream. (Though I do wonder if Blizzard can do something cleverer like put them on their own shard of an online server. I had interesting times trying to meet a family member on the same server in a different shard. :))

Got a good laugh on that, TY! Unless you are a well known streamer with a large following, you simply do not understand what many of the mindless followers will do for a big streamer.

If your starting out streaming or someone who isn’t consistent, you have no influence on what your followers may do.

Perhaps read up on real subject matter regarding high end streamers and what issues their followers can and often do create on servers before trying to compare yourself to the big dogs. :woman_facepalming::man_facepalming:

I wasn’t being serious. But still, every realm is going to have them, one way or the other. If you’re worried about whatever impact they could have on PVP… well just roll PVE. Not our problem.

Sure are people who don’t stream, particularly games like WoW. Myself included.

Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suite, I get it. Maybe actually read through all the posts again? I never said anything about PvP. Best of luck to ya!

Who cares about streamers? I play my way. If they get in my way, they will die, in game. Should be fun either way.

One must assume you’re talking about PVP because there’s very little they or their followers could do to anyone on PVE. But perhaps I shouldn’t waste time with people that pointlessly insult others.

Feel free to look up what Asmon did on Moon Guard (RP server) and the issues that created. Again, learn to read through posts, see what the core issues are that have been discussed, and then come back and attempt to sound a little more informed. /thread

many guilds will form just to take out streamers.

Actually they announced in Classicast they are going to be staying off two specific pave servers. Classicast #30 about 20 minutes in. The rest is just conjecture or people trolling.
