While true, I imagine it’s rather dificult to add new features to a game this old. You end up with feature-bloat.
They tried to beat this already by adding expansion specific features (Azerite gear, artifacts, etc) but the community made it pretty clear that they didn’t want those anymore.
Legion’s spec fantasy direction was so much better. I wanted so badly for them to take the next step and make each spec its own unique class so that they could be developed independently from each other.
Obviously though I was in an extreme minority since so many people complained that they did a 180 and re-homogenized the classes with BfA, and doubled down on that with the new talent trees in DF.
The hair options will roll out one race at a time over a 17 year period.
If everyone got the bubble-gum pink hair option in one patch, it would just be too big of a burden on the developers. The RGB slider is actually really heavy.
To be honest I want to see some aesthetic influences on classes based on racial choices. Maybe make some variance differences for the heritage armours for the class (FE human armour has some class variance with the robes vs mail/plate.)
More class race combos including NE Paladin etc. (Would be the Number one sell point for an expac for me.)
If not player housing maybe an overall of the capitals to make the old world a bit more relevant.
Hardly, it’s a basic builder/spender. Nothing special. It was more unique with the insanity drain mechanic and voidform
But beside all that, it’s struggling with a clear direction. Blizzard has this obsession with trying to make it new, while simultaneously bringing back old abilities because people keep crying about “old shadow”. They’re trying to appease both crowds at once and it’s causing a polarization in the spec. It’s how we ended up with both voidform and dark ascension, mind flay and mind spike.
It feels like Blizzard is afraid to take a jump and move the spec in one clear direction because they don’t want to upset people, but in trying to please both I think they’re upsetting a lot more people.
