Class balance has remained basically the same for all of wow (terrible).
The sole difference is more people abuse it today because of the proliferation of streaming culture and min maxing.
Chasing good balance will leave you hopeless, chase fun, which the game has always been, or had elements of.
I still feel like this patch is worse though? Even in the last AWC you had a bit of comp diversity, the move breaking out DH/ret to try and counter comp for example. This AWC of rmp vs rmp was probably the worst Iâve ever seenâŠ
ThisâŠshould probably be a sticky. Things feel pretty good rn except frost mage and even then if my team isnât derp thatâs not even so much an issue, meaning the lobby can be fun. If people are focused on class balance all the time theyâre going to miss the fun for sure.
There are so many tournaments that have been far more pathetic. Does no one remember corruption stacking 1 shot from the heavens being how Ceral and co won during that time frame?

Yep, I also remember it scaling with Unholy mastery for the first two weeks which was insannnnnnne fun lol. I hated corruption but sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

The game hit its max of unfun at that point, nothing comes close other than wod s1/s2 cheaters running absolutely rampant.
Corruptions is why PvE gearing shenanigans should never be allowed to work in PvP. And theyâre bringing them back later this season LOL! Brace the ladder for impact!
Balance would be easier if they reverted dragonflight stun duration and crit damage changes. Base modifiers on some classes wouldnât need to be so high. Sustained damage models will only really work if you allow them to properly use their spec talents and when rogue/feral arenât an expansion ahead of the other melee simply because theyâve retained the longest and most frequent stuns. Fury and ww donât need to accidentally one shot you to win because they have full duration leg sweep/bolt/shockwave back and thus get to connect for more than 2 globals at a time once every few seconds.

Yes because tournament players are the only people who play this game and we should balance the entire game around an esport that 0 people watch or care about

Iâm not too unhappy with how shuffle has gone for me in recent seasons. 
Yes we all already know you like to do your end of season legend push when the rating is giga inflated
But i think its funny that youâre too insecure to play at start of season because everyone would see youâre hardstuck 2k without inflation
